Following on from my Obsbot Tiny SE review, I have also been checking out the new Obsbot Meet SE.
This is almost the same as the Tiny SE but without the pan and tilt features, which therefore makes it much cheaper at just £65+VAT vs £109+VAT or £99 and £129 on Amazon.
While it lacks the pan-tilt features, it does have similar AI features, including AI auto framing and gesture control.

Unboxing / Design

The Obsbot Meet SE comes in a compact box that includes the camera, a USB-C to USB-C cable with a USB-A adapter, a magnetic lens cover, and a user manual. The camera itself is incredibly small, measuring just 56 x 44 x 32mm without the mount and weighing only 72g. This makes it highly portable and easy to set up in various environments.
The design is sleek and modern, with a space grey finish that gives it a professional look. The camera features a magnetic mount that can be attached to the back of a monitor, making it easy to position. There’s also a standard tripod mount on the bottom for those who prefer to use a tripod or arm.
One of the standout design features is the use of magnets. The lens cover is magnetic, which makes it easy to attach and remove. The magnetic mount is also a nice touch, as it allows for quick and secure attachment to a monitor or other surfaces.
Obsbot Center
Obsbot offers dedicated software for Windows and macOS that provides access to various camera settings and AI features. The interface is straightforward, allowing users to:
- Toggle AI tracking
- Adjust image parameters
- Control pan and tilt manually
- Set tracking sensitivity
- Create preset positions
The software runs reliably without consuming excessive system resources, though some users might find the interface somewhat basic compared to more established webcam manufacturers.
Performance

The Obsbot Meet SE performs well for a webcam in its price range. It offers a maximum resolution of 1080p at 60fps, which is more than sufficient for most video conferencing and streaming needs. The camera also supports 100fps at 1080p, which is a notable feature for those who want smoother video, especially for fast-moving content.
The autofocus is quick and accurate, ensuring that the subject remains in focus even when moving around. The AI auto framing feature is particularly impressive, as it automatically adjusts the frame to keep the subject centred. This is especially useful for those who move around during video calls or streams.
Video Quality
The video quality of the Obsbot Meet SE is excellent for a webcam in this price range. The 1080p resolution is sharp, and the colours are well-balanced, providing a natural-looking image. The camera also performs well in low-light conditions, thanks to its ƒ/2.2 aperture and HDR support. While it may not match the performance of more expensive cameras, it is more than adequate for most users.
One area where the Meet SE falls slightly short is in its field of view. At 86°, it is slightly narrower than some other webcams, which can make it less suitable for group calls or larger spaces. However, for individual use, the field of view is more than sufficient.
Autofocus Performance
The autofocus on the Obsbot Meet SE is fast and reliable. It quickly adjusts to changes in distance, ensuring that the subject remains in focus. This is particularly useful for those who move around during video calls or streams. The camera also supports manual focus, which can be useful in certain situations where more precise control is needed.
AI Auto Framing
The AI auto framing feature is one of the standout aspects of the Obsbot Meet SE. It uses AI to detect the subject and automatically adjust the frame to keep them centred. This is particularly useful for those who move around during video calls or streams, as it ensures that they remain in the frame at all times. The feature works well and is a significant advantage over more basic webcams that lack this functionality.
Audio Quality
The dual microphones perform adequately for video calls, with clear voice pickup and decent noise reduction. While they won’t replace a dedicated USB microphone, they offer better audio quality than many built-in laptop microphones. The 4-metre pickup range proves useful for small group conversations.

£79.00 | Buy on Amazon |
The Obsbot Meet SE is available now for £65+VAT from the Obsbot Store or £99 from Amazon UK.
The Obsbot Meet 2 is available for £30 more on Amazon at £129.
If you want the pan-tilt features of the Tiny range, then the Tiny SE is £129, the Tiny 2 Lit is £179, and the Tiny 2 is £299.
Obsbot Meet Series vs AnkerWork C310
On the Obsbot comparison page, they clearly compare the Meet cameras against the AnkerWork C310. It is a surprisingly honest comparison because it doesn’t make the Meet cameras look significantly better.
The AnkerWork C310 has an RRP of £100 but is available for £85. This is a 12MP 4K camera which has AI autofocus, AI framing, and dual-microphone AI noise cancelling to automatically optimise your sound and display in real-time. At 4K it does 30FPS, or it can do 1080P @ 60 FPS, and it also has the benefit of a variable field of view ( 65°, 78°, 95°).
So, in some ways, it is a better option than the Meet SE or a cheaper alternative to the Mee2, but the Meet models have some advantages:
Anker uses a 1/2.5″ CMOS with an ƒ/2.0 aperture, whereas the Meet 2 has a significantly better sensor with 1/2″ CMOS and a ƒ/1.8 aperture. The Meet has a smaller 1/2.8” CMOS sensor but still has the better ƒ/1.8 aperture.
The Meet SE can do 1080@100fps/720@150fps, providing smoother video, It also has 4x digital zoom and can be used in portrait mode or upside down. It then benefits from gesture control.
Overall
The Obsbot Meet SE is a solid webcam that offers excellent value for money. It provides high-quality video, reliable autofocus, and useful AI features like auto framing. While it may lack some of the more advanced features found in higher-end models, it is more than capable of meeting the needs of most users.
Obsbot Meet SE Review
Summary
The Obsbot Meet SE offers a solid balance of affordability and performance. While it lacks the pan and tilt features of the Tiny SE, it retains AI-driven auto-framing and high frame rates, making it a strong choice for general video calls and streaming. For users who prioritise portability and AI features over motorised tracking, the Meet SE is a worthwhile investment.
