Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8 will officially launch on Thursday, however, the full specifications, features and pricing of the Redmi Note 8 Pro have no been revealed.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro measures 161.3 x 76.4 x 8.8mm and it weighs 199 grams. The handset is fitted with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It carries support for full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
It will be the first phone to feature the new powerful MediaTek Helio G90T processor, which is the gaming orientated chipset from MediaTek that offers performance similar to the Snapdragon 730 and Kirn 810.
The phone will feature 6GB or 8GB of RAM and either 64 GB and 128 GB storage.
The MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS will come preloaded on the device. It is equipped with a microSD card slot for more storage.
The quad-camera setup of the Redmi Note 8 Pro will include Samsung GW1 64-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro video camera with a focal length of 2cm and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For snapping selfies, it will be equipped with a 20-megapixel selfie snapper.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro will receive power from a 4,5000mAh battery that will carry support for 18W fast charging. Other features of the phone include NFC, IR blaster, 3.5mm audio jack. The images of the phone have revealed that it will be equipped with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
It is expected that the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage options of the Redmi Note 8 Pro are respectively priced at 1,799 Yuan (£204.47) and 2,099 Yuan (£238.57).
