Serial leaker TUM_APISAK has revealed details of the latest budget offering for the Zen 2 Ryzen 3000 series.
The Ryzen 5 3500 was previously seen in an ECC listing with other Ryzen 3000 series processors like the Ryzen 9 3900 and Ryzen 7 3700 (none X) that are expected to be releasing soon.

The specifications listed are a 6 core CPU without SMT, a first for Ryzen 5 parts, and a 3.6GHz base clock with a 4.1GHz boost clock and the previous leaks showed the 3500 as a 65W part like the Ryzen 5 3600.
This could end up being a superb budget gaming processor which would stack up against the Core i5-9400F which also has 6 cores and 6 threads.
How good it is, is dependant on pricing, as this is the first time AMD has released a Ryzen 5 in this configuration we can’t be sure where they will position it.
The most likely scenario is at a similar price point to the Ryzen 5 3400G which is a 4 core 8 thread CPU with an integrated GPU, but comfortably below the Ryzen 5 3600 price.
Currently, in the UK, the Ryzen 5 3400G costs £137.99 on Amazon or £149.99 RRP.
The Ryzen 5 3600 costs £188.99 with an RRP of £199.99.
