Esports-Focused Design

Sony has clearly targeted the esports market with the INZONE M10S, incorporating several features specifically designed for competitive play:

Tournament-Ready Mode

The monitor includes a 24.5-inch mode that displays games at a 1:1 resolution of 1332p, maintaining the high 480Hz refresh rate. This mode caters to players accustomed to smaller, faster displays commonly used in tournament settings.

FPS Pro Modes

Two new picture modes have been introduced, focusing on first-person shooter (FPS) gameplay:

  1. FPS Pro+: Developed in conjunction with Fnatic’s VALORANT team, this mode optimises image clarity to help players identify opponents more quickly.
  2. FPS Pro: This mode emulates the image characteristics of TN panel LCD monitors, which are often used in professional tournaments.

Ergonomic Design

The INZONE M10S features a compact base with a 159mm diameter and a thin 4mm profile, allowing for various keyboard and mouse configurations. This design consideration ensures that players can maintain their preferred setup while benefiting from the monitor’s advanced display technology.

Collaboration with Fnatic

Sony’s partnership with Fnatic has been instrumental in the development of the INZONE M10S. Professional players from Fnatic’s VALORANT team, including Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlett and Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov, have provided valuable input throughout the design process.

Khromov expressed his satisfaction with the monitor, stating, “An OLED monitor is the best solution for me, with zero response time and a range of very good colours, it gives me no excuses for poor performance! This is the end game for gaming monitors.”

Official Monitor for Apex Legends Global Series

In a significant move for both Sony and the esports industry, the INZONE M10S has been selected as the official monitor for the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS). This partnership with Electronic Arts (EA) will see the monitor used in offline tournaments, starting with the ALGS Year 4 Championships in Japan in January 2025.

Monica Dinsmore, Senior Director of Esports and Ventures Brand at EA, emphasised the importance of high-quality technology in esports competitions, stating, “Every second and every frame matters in esports – and with so much on the line as we get closer to the ALGS Year 4 Championship in Sapporo, Japan, it’s important that we arm our competitors with the highest quality technology available.”

  • 27-inch 4K UHD IPS display
  • 160Hz refresh rate
  • DisplayHDR 600
  • 750 nits peak brightness
