I was first made aware of the Letsfit brand at the end of 2017 when I reviewed their excellent Smart Band. The company appears to have two types of products on Amazon, fitness trackers and earphones. The D32 True Wireless Earbuds are their latest and best offering, jumping on the bandwagon of totally wire free earphones.

Priced at just £32.98 but with a 10% off voucher available, they are the second most affordable option I have reviewed, with KuaiFit K Sport being about £7 cheaper and the Blitzwolf BW-FYE1 being a few pence more. While the KuaiFit K Sport were actually quite good, the lack of a battery powered charge case was not good making them easy to lose and awkward to charge.

  • IPX5 waterproof Bluetooth headphones withstand your most intense workout; sweating it out in the gym or running through the rain
  • Ergonomic and lightweight design fits comfortably and snuggly in your ear. 3 sizes of eartip options provide individualised fit and comfort for all-day wearing
  • 2 X Earbud, 1 X Charging Case, 6 X Eartip, 1 X Micro USB Charging Cable, 1 X User Guide, and a friendly, dedicated customer service

Design and Features

The fundamental design is similar to many other wire free options. While these don’t look like the Blitzwolf, the shape works in the same way, they fit inside your ear with no hooks, and the shape of these fits snugly in the concha of your ear (the cavity bit). This means that there is not a large part of the earpiece dangling outside of your ear, which hopefully avoids them falling out.

The earbuds are IPX5 waterproof, and as I highlighted in my Anker review, I feel like wirefree options have superior sweat proofing for the gym. There are fewer wires and no controls or batteries located on the wire that will allow sweat or water to seep through.

The earbuds themselves are rated for 3.5 hours of playback, and the battery case provides another 16.5 of charging.

The Letsfit D32 True Wireless Earbuds make use of Bluetooth 5.0 for their wireless connectivity. This helps with both battery, pairing and the reliability of the connection.

Fit and comfort

I think I have funny shaped ears so finding a pair of earphones that fit well can be awkward, which in turn affects the sound quality and the ability of them to stay in my ear. These come with three ear tips, but I found them all quite small, the large ones would have worked OK, but I swapped them out for a larger pair from some older earphones.

Once I had made this change, I found that both comfort and fit were excellent. The big test for me is their ability to remain in my ear during the gym. I do weightlifting, running, rowing plus other activities, and these can all create a challenge for earphones. During my use, I experienced no issues with these falling out and rarely had to adjust them.

Sound Quality & Performance

The initial pairing process was quick and simple, the earphones auto pair together, then you connect to them from your phone like any other earphones. During using I experience no drop-outs, this includes some vigorous sprints on the treadmill.

As stated above, getting a good fit is crucial to achieving the best sound, with my modification of the earphones I was able to achieve a surprisingly good sound profile. I am yet to find a pair of wirefree earbuds that can compete with some of my favourite wired Bluetooth earphones, they often lack the ability to provide deep bass, and this is the same with these. They are good in comparison to other wire free options, and I would say superb based on the price.

Bass is present with these, and some purists may prefer the lack of overwhelming bass, with the right track you get some nice deep lows, but it just can’t quite compete with some of the best-wired options.

The rest of the audio profile is good, mids and trebles are well presented, and I have found them excellent to use for a few hours, they cope well with a wide variety of music genres.

I would say the 3.5-hour battery life is not far off, I have occasionally gone to the gym and received a low battery notification just as I got home, which would be just after the 3-hour mark. Most of my sessions are less than three, between leaving the house and getting home, and in those cases, the earphones last without warnings.

Overall

Considering the price, there is not a lot to criticise about these, sound quality, fit, and battery life are all excellent.

The only minor issue is the poor selection of ear tip sizes, but this is easily fixed but using some old ones or buying alternative.

Overall, if you are looking for some affordable wire free earphones, then these should be near or at the top of your list.
