Sony, like many other companies, announces their latest flagship phone during MWC at the end of February each year in Barcelona. This timing works well with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon chips that get launched in December each year.
However it appears like details of the new Sony Xperia XZ4 have been leaked well ahead of the announcement, the details come from reliable leaker OnLeaks and other sources
The upcoming Sony Xperia XZ4 is expected to offer an aspect ratio of 21:9 through its massive display of 6.55 inches. The display of the XZ4 could be supplied by LG.
With the announcement of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 the phone will almost certainly be using this. The SoC is rumoured to be coupled with 6 GB of LPDDRX RAM. It may arrive in 64 GB and 256 GB storage choices.
A super wide-angle lens will be available on the front side of the Xperia XZ4 for capturing selfie shots. The backside of the XZ4 is rumoured to be equipped with a triple camera module. It will include 1/2.3 inch main sensor that will be enabled with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Accurate details on the camera specs are not yet available. This is quite a departure for Sony as they stuck with a one lens system for the ZZ3 only upgrading it to a dual lens for the Premium edition.
Surprisingly it has also been leaked that the phone may feature a battery 3900mAh which is quite a bit upgrade from the previous generation.
The Xperia XZ4 renders had revealed it will be lacking a 3.5mm headphone, however other sources indicate it will include the headphone jack. The leaked renders also indicate there will be no notch present.
