Oppo’s sub-brand, Realme made a big splash in the affordable market this year. Realme is targetted at the Indian market so in the UK bargain hunters have had to resort to the likes of GearBest to get their phones.
The brand now seems to be gearing up for another phone in the series dubbed, the Realme A1. As is the case with most of the upcoming phones, the specifications of the Realme A1 have also surfaced.
The leaked specifications of the Realme A1 reveal that the phone will come powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 processor paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The camera includes a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera setup with LED flash and an 8MP selfie snapper. A 4,200mAh battery is tipped to back the device. On the software side, the phone is believed to come with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
It will be positioned lower than the Realme U1, which was the second most affordable Realme phone until now. At the moment exact pricing is unknown and westerners will obviously pay more than the RRP due to the costs of importing.
Renders of the phone have also been leaked showing the increasingly popular teardrop notch, however the phone does appear to have quite thick bezels around all sides. Though this is forgivable for a budget phone.
It is believed the phone will officially launch in January.
