Power banks have been a mainstay for mobile users for years, allowing us to go out for the day without worrying about our phones dying on us.
They come in all shapes and sizes including ultra-portable 5000mAh options like the Anker Astro, 20,000 mAh options which are not pocket-friendly but can keep a couple of phones going for a weekend, and finally monsters like the Crave PowerPack with 50,000mAh which is neither pocket or bag friendly.
In recent years many of these portable chargers have adopted the Power Delivery technology which allows the battery pack to deliver a higher wattage charge to the device speeding up charge times.
Power delivery is also used on many tablets and even ultra-portable laptops which use a USB-C connector for power.
With laptops, there can be restrictions, some higher-powered laptops need a minimum of 45W before they will accept the charge.
So what are some of the best portables batteries that can charge your tablet and laptop?
60W Power Delivery Power Banks
I can imagine many scenarios where you need 60W worth of power delivery, but if you want the most powerful charger possible there are a handful of options.
At the extreme end of the scales is the Crave PowerPack 2 with 60W PD, 18W power delivery and 50000 mAh charge. It is useful if you are going to be away from a plug socket for long periods of time, but its weight makes it a little impractical.
60W charges come at a premium too, so unless you really need it, you may be better of with 45W.

My pick would be the RAVPower Power Delivery 20000mAh Portable Charger. It has 14 five star ratings and costs less than £40 making it one of the more affordable options. I have used WAVPower plenty of times and they have been excellent.

45W Power Delivery Power Banks
A 45W should be enough to power most low powered laptops and is enough to keep my Dell Latitude happy with the i5-7300U. These are much more reasonably priced with plenty of well-reviewed options on Amazon. Most of these are sized between 20000 and 27000mAh which is not pocketable but do easily fit in a bag and are not too heavy to carry around all day. This is generally my preferred sized of power banks, giving you more than enough charge for multiple devices during the day.

I have never used Omars before but this is well-reviewed and a massive 30W charge considering it is a small 10000 mAh battery
18W Power Delivery Power Banks
18W is enough to power ULV processors on ultra-portables such as thin convertible laptops. The lower PD allows these to come in a greater range of sizes including a pocket-friendly 10000mAh

At around £26 you can’t fault the RAVPower for its value. It is well-reviewed and a decent brand too,

The Poweradd 10000mAh portable charger is the smallest well-reviewed 18W PD charger I can find, this is great for days out when you don’t have a bag.
