October is a hectic month for product launches, especially phones, we have already seen Microsoft launch their laptops, Nokia has an announcement next week, Huawei launches the Mate 20 on the 16th and now Xiaomi is set to launch the new Mi Mix 3.
We already know the new phone will have a full-screen slider-based design similar to the Oppo Find X and this allows the phone to have no notch and an increased screen to body ration.
The phone will feature a Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood and is also reported to have a dedicated AI assistant button and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Images of the phone were posted on the web by Xiaomi’s own president at IFA Berlin with a promise to launch in October. Now it appears there is an official release date.
Most recently a new image was leaked with the launch date, though it is not 100% confirmed this is true, however, the phone is definitely due to launch this month and launching a day before Huawei might be a marketing move.
We have recently seen Xiaomi stop the installation of the Global ROM on its Chinese based phones so even when this is released it may not be that easy to get hold of. However, with Xiaomi looking like they will launch a shop in London soon we can hope they will bring some of their best devices to our shores.
