I have previously reviewed the excellent XGIMI Halo+ 1080P portable projector, which is one of the best options on the market for the price.

However, if you can quite stretch your budget to the £750 that costs, then you should definitely check out either the XGIMI MoGo 2 or the MoGo 2 Pro.

The main difference between these two models is that the MoGo 2 Pro can do 1080P while the MoGo 2 is 720P.

The MoGo 2 Series is equipped with XGIMI’s self-developed light engine, which uses advanced technologies such as high transmission coated lenses to reduce light loss in the projection light path, providing a brightness output of up to 400 ISO lumens. The XGIMI Halo+ justified its higher price by being much brighter at 900 ANSI lumens. According to Google, 1 ANSI lumen = 0.8 ISO lumens, so that would still make the XGIMI Halo+ much brighter at 720 ISO lumens.

As the first XGIMI projector to feature ISA 2.0 technology, the MoGo 2 Pro achieves uninterrupted automatic keystone correction and autofocus, providing users with a smoother and more immersive viewing experience. After adjusting the projector’s position, ISA 2.0 provides multi-angle automatic keystone correction and focus adjustment without the user needing to do anything, whether it’s horizontal or vertical projection, ensuring users see the clearest and most suitable projected image. The MoGo 2 has the same auto focus found on the other XGIMI projectors.

Both of these projectors have 2x8w speakers, Android 11 TV, and supports charging via power delivery power banks.

Neither of these appears to have a battery built-in, but I am OK with that if it keeps the price down. I rarely use the battery on my portable projectors, and powering it via a good quality powerbank gives you the same result.

Both projectors have 1x USB-C, 1xUSB-A and a HDMI 2.0 port. For audio out, you also have 3.5mm or Bluetooth and they are both equipped with WiFi 5.
