Realme has been making waves in the Indian market for a few years now and a few months ago they brought their brand to the UK with the Realme 3 Pro.
Yesterday, skipping number 4, they launched the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. They bring four cameras and pack a Snapdragon 665 and Snapdragon 712 chipset respectively.
With the Pro model, you get a four-camera setup similar to the Realme 5 but the main lens is the 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor, which is found in many phones this year, and that also outputs 12MP photos by combining 4-pixels in one for increased quality. The selfie shooter is another upgrade over the regular 5, coming with a 16MP sensor behind an f/2.0 aperture.
As part of the launch, they revealed that their up and coming flagship phone will be the Realme XT and will feature a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor in place of the 48 MP Sony IMX586.
There have been previous leaks about the Realme X and X Pro. The Realme X was claimed to have a Snapdragon 730 and it will come equipped with a 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. While the X Pro was expected to come with a Snapdragon 855.
It looks like the Realme XT will be the flagship phone we have been waiting for and it is likely to come with the Snapdragon 855. It is expected that the XT will also have a pop-up selfie, similar to the X leaks, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The current guess is that the Realme XT will launch around the Diwali festival, which starts on October 27.
