While most of the specification has been previously revealed, Realme have no confirmed that the Realme X50 5G will launch on the 7th of January at an event in Beijing, China.
This is the first 5G phone from the company and they have previously committed to only releasing 5G phones in China moving forward.
The new phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. This is the same SoC that powers the Redmi K30 5G smartphone and will power the upcoming Oppo Reno3 Pro.
The Realme X50 5G phone will also support enhanced VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. The company says that this technology would take 30 minutes to charge the battery to 70 percent. It is expected that the phone will launch with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate with a punch hole for the selfie camera. On the rear of the phone, it is believed the main camera will be the 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor which has recently been revealed to feature on the OnePlus 8.
Realme is also expected to launch a Realme X50 Youth Edition variant with it.
