If you thought the new Geforce RTX 2080 Ti was expensive you had better brace yourself for the impending arrival of the Geforce RTX Titan.
The Titan range of cards has always been more of a professional or prosumer card but it is typically a souped-up version of the flagship consumer model costing several thousand. This inevitably leads to some gamers who have more money than sense using them in gaming builds.
The RTX Titan has not been officially announced but it appears part of the marketing campaign has started allowing certain influences to leak the photos of their sample cards. This includes Linus Tech Tips WAN show and in Gavin Free’s (from The Slo Mo Guys) Instagram account.
The RTX Titan appears to offer users a similar PCB to the RTX 2080 Ti, likely shipping as an RTX 2080 Ti with full silicon utilisation, which means that it should provide more memory bandwidth, have access to more CUDA cores and have 12GB of GDDR6 memory.
- Titan RTX: 4,608 CUDA cores, 12GB GDDR6 memory, 72 RT cores?
- GeForce RTX 2080 Ti: 4,352 CUDA cores, 11GB GDDR6 memory, 68 RT cores
- GeForce RTX 2080: 2,944 CUDA cores, 8GB GDDR6 memory, 46 RT cores
- GeForce RTX 2070: 2,304 CUDA cores, 8GB GDDR6 memory, 36 RT cores
With some of the top of the range RTX 2080 Ti cards costing £1500, it is likely that the new Titan cards will cost north of £2000
