Kingston sold off their HyperX gaming brand to HP earlier in the year. With the gaming market being so affluent, it was unlikely Kingston would leave the market entirely.
Kingston is now back with some gaming-oriented RAM now branded as FURY. The product range is extensive, covering both desktop and SODIMM laptop ram at various price points going up to the flagship FURY Renegade range.
Kingston FURY Renegade comes in both RGB and none-RGB models with a large range of capacities and frequencies.
If you are happy to skip the RGB, then you can have speeds going up to a ridiculous 5333MHz. Due to the high frequency of this RAM, the latency is quite high at CL20.
Latencies improve the lower the frequencies.
Box.co.uk have listed many of the options available, but it looks like the top of the range options will take a while to come through.
Kingston FURY Price and Availability
Currently, they list (but no stock):
- Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4000MHz with CL19 for £177.98
- Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4266MHz with CL19 for £185.90
- Kingston FURY Renegade 32GB (2 x 16GB) 4000MHz with CL19 for £323
- Kingston FURY Renegade 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4000MHz with CL19 for £166
- Kingston FURY Renegade RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4600MHz with CL19 for £364

A full list of the new Kingston FURY RAM can be found on Box here
Competing Options
In comparison, other brands are available for :
- TRIDENT Z 16GB (2X8GB) 4600Mhz with CL19 for £389.99 (Overlockers, OOS)
- Crucial Ballistix MAX 16GB (2x 8GB) 4000MHz with CL18 for £160 (Box, currently £10 off)
- Corsair Vengence LPX 32GB (2X16GB) 3600 with CL18 for £209
With the brand specialising in RAM and storage, I wouldn’t be surprised if they launch some FURY branded NVMe drives in the future.
