I reviewed the Infinix ZERO 40 at the end of August. Due to work commitments, I have had a backlog of reviews and only just had a chance to play with the Infinix Creator Kit that was supplied as a free perk for early orders.
Looking online, there appear to have been two different kits. One includes an electronic gimbal to stabilise video while shooting, and the other option is the one I was sent.

This is an adjustable phone mount that fits the Zero 40 and most other phones. It can be adjusted in height and width.
The mount is a metal frame with a variety of 1/4-20 UNC threads to attach accessories.
Included in the package is some arms to provide greater control over the phone and avoid fingers getting in the way.
It is then supplied with a wireless microphone, photography fills light, a small tripod, and a Bluetooth button to control the camera, all packaged in a decent-quality bag.
While this is not as good as an electronic gimbal, it does provide much greater control and stabilisation than holding the phone by itself.
I found that it worked better in landscape mode than portrait, and the tripod works better in this aspect ratio as there are mounting holes central to the body.
I can’t really complain about something that was free, but my only minor criticism would be a better tripod would have been good, either an extendable one or a gorilla pod-style mount.
I don’t record many videos myself, but I have found it very useful for product photography. Keeping the phone stable is important, and the fill light is very useful.
The overall build quality is superb, with the frame and arms all made of metal. I’d imagine this would be relatively expensive if a brand tried to sell it as a normal product.
On Amazon, there are creator kits sold that look far inferior to this yet retail for £25 – £125 depending on what was included.
Overall, I think it was a great perk for the Infinix Zero 40 series, and it made the attractive price even more tempting.
