Technically the Honor View V20 doesnt get announced until 22nd of January in Paris, but the Honow V20 was just announced in China and it is exactly the same phone.

I have previously posted about the Honor View V20 being one of the most exciting phones to launch in 2019 and all the specs that have previously been leaked have now been confirmed.

Honor View V20 announced with 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, Kirin 980, 4,000mAh battery 2

The Honor View V20 will come with punch hole screen design similar to the one found on the Huawei Nova 4. This allows Honor to maximise the screen real estate on the 6.4-inch TFT LCD display which has 1080×2310 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 91.82 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The phone will be powered with the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset that is based on the 7nm manufacturing process and was first seen on the Mate 20 Pro. The chipset has two 2.6GHz Cortex-A76 cores, two 1.92GHz Cortex-A76 cores, and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores.

The phone comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage options depending on the variant. The phone lacks a microSD card slot, which means that the storage on the phone is non-expandable, unlike the Mate 20 with its nanoSD slot.

This will be the first phone on the market to feature the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with a f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, AI HDR, and LED flash. There is a 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for the secondary sensor that is integrated for capturing the depth of an image and enabling features such as slimming objects in images and also creating 3D virtuals of users. The Honor V20 has a 25MP selfie snapper on the front that has f/2.0 aperture, fixed focus, time-lapse photography, night scene, AI photo, Portrait, Fun AR, and slow-motion support.

Honor continues to put impressively large batteries in their phones with 4,000mAh in this one which is supported by 4.5V/5A fast charging. The phone also has Link Turbo technology that enables the phone to switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi automatically whenever one of the connections gets slow. The Honor V20 supports connectivity options such as dual-SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G LTE, USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and more. The phone is also integrated with GPU Turbo 2.0 technology that assists during gaming.

We won't know the official pricing until the official launch in Paris but the Chinese version is priced at CNY 2,999 (£345.42) for the 6GB RAM variant and at CNY 3,499 (£403) for the top-end 8GB RAM variant.

The Honor View 10 launched at £449 SIM free so I would expect this to cost around the same if not a little higher.
