As much as I love robot vacuums, we still regularly use a stick vacuum for on-demand cleaning and for cleaning areas, a robot vacuum can’t reach.
I am fortunate enough to have multiple excellent vacuums, and I typically use the Gtech AirRAM 3 Dual Edge-Clean and Hoover HFX Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for any additional cleaning task.
However, having multiple vacuums is inconvenient for storage (especially for people living in flats), and buying devices is expensive.
Eufy has a solution for this: the E20 3-in-1 Robot Vacuum. As the name suggests, this integrates a stick vacuum into a robot vacuum. The 3-in-1 bit is a little misleading as the third function is just a handheld/upholstery vacuum, which most stick vacuums do in the first place.
Eufy claims this is a world first, but the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo was announced back at IFA 2024. However, it appears that it has only just been made available in the UK, so Eufy has technically beaten them to the market.
The Deebot T30S Combo Complete appears to have beaten both Eufy and SwitchBot as the first 3-in-1, which was available late last year but costs significantly more.

Unboxing

The Eufy E20 arrives in well-structured packaging that clearly displays its 3-in-1 functionality. Inside, you’ll find:
- The robot vacuum with an integrated handheld unit
- A self-emptying station
- Side brushes
- A charging cable
- Various attachments for the handheld vacuum, including a crevice tool
- A stick vacuum extension and motorised roller brush

The vacuum has a sleek yet practical design, and while the build quality feels robust, the detachable vacuum does add some weight. Assembly is straightforward, requiring only the side brush installation before use.

Set-Up
Setting up the Eufy E20 is quick and easy. The self-emptying base station needs to be plugged in, and the vacuum should be placed on the charging dock. The device is controlled via the Eufy Clean app, which provides features such as:
- Custom cleaning schedules
- Suction level adjustments
- Zone cleaning and no-go zones
- Auto-empty settings
It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, ensuring a stable connection. The mapping function is efficient, with LiDAR navigation allowing for precise room scanning.
Eufy Clean App UI and Settings

Stick Vacuum Cleaning Performance

The integrated stick vacuum is one of the E20’s standout features. Its suction power of 30,000 Pa is impressive, making it highly effective for deep cleaning carpets and hard floors.
Reports online indicate that this performs at around 150AW, which is good but not class-leading. Comparing it to the alternative options I list later on, the Bosch Unlimited 7 achieves around 95AW, theTineco Pure One S15 is around 120AW, but the Shark Stratos can hit over 200AW.
The roller brush is powered by a robust motor, which handles particles of all sizes with ease. The vacuum can get extremely flat, allowing it to reach far underneath furniture where other vacuums might struggle.
This can then also be used as a hand-held upholstery vacuum by removing the extension pole. Most stick vacuums do this, but it is an important feature for a 3-in-1 like this as it allows you to do much more compared to the robot vacuum by itself.
The stick vacuum does have some limitations. The extension tube cannot be used with all the accessories, which restricts its versatility. Additionally, the stick vacuum cannot stand upright on its own, which can be inconvenient during use.
Stick Vacuum Battery Life
The stick vacuum has a decent battery life, lasting around 50 minutes on the lowest suction setting. While this is slightly below the average for cordless vacuums, it is sufficient for most cleaning tasks. The vacuum is also smart enough to return to the base station to recharge and resume cleaning if needed.
Robot Vacuum Mapping
The E20 uses LiDAR technology for precise mapping and navigation. It creates a detailed map of your home, which can be viewed and edited in the mobile app. The robot is highly efficient at avoiding obstacles and rarely bumps into furniture, making it a reliable choice for daily cleaning. Like most robots, it does occasionally get tangled with cables and small objects.
Robot Vacuum Cleaning Performance
In robot mode, the E20 performs well on both hard floors and carpets. The suction power of 8,000 Pa is sufficient for most daily cleaning tasks, although it is not as powerful as some dedicated robot vacuums. During my testing, it proved effective on hard floors, collecting 100% of rice granules while leaving a small amount of flour when.
The Pro-Detangle Comb™ is effective at preventing hair from tangling around the brush, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
Noise levels averaged 61.1dB, quieter than many rivals, while the 3L dustbag lasted approximately 75 days under typical use.
One limitation of the E20 is the lack of mopping functionality, which most robot vacuums feature nowadays. However, from my personal experience, I rarely use the mopping function on robot vacuums unless it has an auto-fill/empty station. I find it less of a hassle to get out a mop and do the job manually than fill those tiny mopping attachments on affordable robot vacuums.
Robot Vacuum Battery Life
The E20 offers a battery life of up to 180 minutes in robot mode, which is above average for robot vacuums. It is also capable of returning to the base station to recharge and resume cleaning, making it suitable for larger homes.
I haven’t timed the battery life as the robot vacuum successfully completed a full clean of my downstairs in one charge, and the auto charge feature means it shouldn’t ever be a problem.

£449.00 | Buy on Amazon |
The Eufy 3-in-1 E20 Robot Vacuum has a RRP of £549.
While Eufy advertises the E20 as the world’s first 3-in-1 detachable combo robot vacuum, that is true.
The Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo has been available since late last year. It launched at a premium price of over £1000, but it does have some more advanced features, including hot water mopping and hot air mop drying. This is currently available for £899 on Amazon with an additional £100 off voucher available.
There is the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo, which is available for £799.99. At the time of writing, this has a discount of £160, taking it down to a conveniently priced £540
This design is more user-friendly. You lift the stick vacuum out of the rear compartment, and it still has a shared dust collector, giving you approximately 70 days of waste storage.
The alternative option is to buy two vacuums. You can certainly make this cheaper than the all-in-one solution of Eufy, but it is more things to store, and if you want a decent performing robot vacuum and stick vacuum, the price difference is not significant:
Robot Vacuums
- Dreame D10 Plus – £230
- Tapo RV30 Max Plus – £249
- Eufy L60 Robot Vacuum Cleaner – £290
- Roborock Q5 Pro+ – £350
Stick Vacuums:
- Hoover HF4 Pet – £189
- Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner – £220
- Bosch Unlimited 7 – £230
- Tineco Pure ONE S15 – £250 with on page voucher
Overall
The Eufy E20 3-in-1 excels as a space-saving solution for small households seeking hands-off daily cleaning with occasional manual touch-ups. Its ability to empty both robot and handheld dustbins automatically streamlines maintenance, while the ergonomic handheld unit outperforms earlier Eufy models in comfort. However, the lack of accessory storage and average suction power make it less compelling for larger homes or those requiring heavy-duty cleaning.
For those prioritising convenience over raw power, the E20 offers a unique hybrid approach. Future iterations addressing storage limitations and enhancing suction could solidify its position in the market.

Summary
For those who prioritise vacuuming performance over mopping, the Eufy E20 is a practical space-saving option. While it does have some compromises, its strong suction, effective navigation, and dual-purpose design make it an excellent choice for homes with carpets and hard floors.
