Huawei is expected to start the rollout of their stable EMUI 10 release this month which is based on Android 10. The rollout will start in China, so don’t expect UK phones to get the update in November, but it is a promising start.
It is expected that the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro to be the first ones to receive it, and this should be the first half of the month. Then the Mate 20-series, including the Mate 20 X and the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, the Honor 20-series and the Magic 2 will be receiving EMUI 10.
In addition, the schedule also confirms the Huawei P20, P20 Pro and the Mate RS Porsche Design will join the EMUI 10 public beta in the second half of this month.
EMUI 10 has been available on Beta on the P30 Pro and other select devices for a while now. The open beta program has been active in China but Huawei has now rolled this out to the international audience which includes the Mate 20 series, P30 lite, Nova 5T and P Smart 2019.
EMUI 10 will bring a new UI design, new fonts, Dark Mode, improved quick settings toggle, new camera interface, changed gestures, optimization to work with Windows 10, Digital Wellbeing, new animations and more.
It also has optimisations for the new Freebuds 3 which includes the isochronous dual-channel Bluetooth connection and pop up and pair.
