Even though I get sent quite a lot of portable power banks to review, I actually bought the Aukey PB-WL02 Basix Pro. I have had it since July 2022; I am just a bit slow at reviewing things when I don’t have a PR chasing me.
I bought it because, at the time, it was discounted to just £15.48, which is a bargain for a PD power bank with this capacity and also includes wireless charging and a convenient little kickstand.

USB Power Delivery Output
The USB-C PD output is rated at 18W, which is about standard for this capacity. Anker has the PowerCore 10000 Redux, which can do 25W PD, and the INIU 10000mAh Power Bank can do 22.5W, but neither of these has wireless charging or a convenient kickstand.
I have the Google Pixel 6, which supports up to 22W using the USB Power Delivery 3.0 PPS standard. It only retains this charging speed until around 50%, and it quickly drops off (presumably to protect the battery).
Using the Aukey power bank and testing the charge with a USB power meter confirms it is capable of 18W.
Like most power banks, this supports pass-through charging, allowing you to charge your power bank, which also charges devices. There is not much benefit to doing things this way, but it can be useful when travelling if you are restricted to one power socket and have two devices to charge (a multi-port plug would be better, though).
I have used this charger quite a lot since buying it. I took it on my press trip to America with Mediatek and Qualcomm, and it has plenty of charge to keep your phone going for a full day of heavy use.
Wireless Charging
I have mixed feelings about the Qi wireless charging on this. It is not quite as convenient as I would like.
You need to:
- Press the power button with an orange light indicating wireless charging is ready
- Place your device on the side with a raised silicon ring
- The device should indicate it is charging
Having to remember to press the power button is a bit annoying, and the QI charging element seems a bit difficult to place currently and reliable.
Once placed correctly, it charges perfectly well, but I’d sooner keep a short USB cable with me, which is more convenient to use and provides faster charging.
Price and Alternative Options
The AUKEY PB-WL02 Basix Wireless Charging Power Bank is currently priced at £29.98 from MyMemoery.co.uk. You will not find Aukey on Amazon.
I bought this charger when it was discounted to around £15. It drops to this price semi-often, and I’d recommend keeping an eye out for the discount. It normally pops up on HotUKDeals and the last time it was discounted was in August 2022.

The Anker PowerCore III Wireless Power Bank is roughly £47
Belkin has the Magnetic Wireless Power Bank 10K for around £50. While it is a lot more expensive, it has MagSafe making it ideal for iPhone owners.
If you don’t need the wireless charging or kickstand, then the Aukey PB-N73C 10000mAh is worth considering, priced at just £18. This has a built-in USB-C cable, which I’d say is more useful than wireless charging.
Overall
The Aukey Basix Pro is an excellent 10000mAh power bank. I like the 10000mAh capacity as it is perfect for travelling, and this is quite thin, so it slips into my pocket easily. The wireless charging and kickstand make it, even more, travel-friendly. It is great when on a plane or train, allowing you to charge your phone and watch content at the same time.
Its full price of £30 undercuts competing brands like Anker and Belkin by a significant margin.
It hasn’t been discounted for a few months, but I’d definitely keep my out for any discounts as it was an incredible buy for under £16.
