UK technology company Acer has announced several new products at the Intel Extreme Masters gaming tournament in Katowice, including an off-road e-scooter, stereoscopic 3D monitor, and updates to its Predator gaming monitor and laptop lineups.
Extreme E-Scooter Brings Off-Road Thrills
The headline announcement is the Predator Extreme e-scooter, an rugged electric scooter designed for off-road use. With fat 10-inch tires, dual suspension, and a powerful 960W motor, Acer boasts the Extreme can handle steep hills, jumps, and rough terrain.
It has a top speed of 25km/h and a range of 35km from its removable 10.5Ah battery. The standing-style scooter weighs 26kg and offers features like a digital display, LED headlight, and hydraulic brakes. IPX5 water resistance allows riding in light rain.
Acer says the Extreme brings “new levels of fun and mobility” to its environmentally-friendly product portfolio. It also ties in with the company’s gaming-focused Predator brand. The Extreme e-scooter will launch in Europe, Middle East, and Africa in Q2 2024, priced from €1,299.
SpatialLabs View Monitor Adds Stereoscopic 3D Gaming
Gamers wanting more immersive experiences should check out the Predator SpatialLabs View 27 monitor. It’s a 27-inch 4K display that leverages stereoscopic 3D technology to add depth to compatible games.
Acer’s TrueGame platform renders dual images optimized for the user’s IPD (interpupillary distance). The monitor then displays these side-by-side images and uses glasses to merge them into lifelike 3D visuals. Gamers can toggle between 2D and 3D modes.
The monitor also features a fast 160Hz refresh rate with Delta E<2 colour accuracy. It will launch in EMEA in Q1 2024 for €1,999.
Latest Predator Monitors Feature Mini LED and OLED
Acer has expanded its Predator monitor range with new high-end displays featuring the latest panel technologies. This includes the massive 57-inch Predator Z57, a curved ultrawide monitor with Mini LED backlighting. It boasts a blistering fast 120Hz refresh rate at its extreme 7,680 x 2,160 (32:9 aspect ratio) resolution.
There’s also a new 34-inch Predator X34 curved gaming monitor with Mini LED backlighting, 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio, 180Hz refresh rate, and 1500R curvature.
On the OLED front, Acer unveiled Predator X39 and Predator X34 X monitors in 39-inch and 34-inch sizes respectively. Both curved ultrawides deliver UWQHD resolution up to 240Hz, with ultra-fast 0.01ms gray-to-gray response times thanks to OLED technology.

Lower-priced Predator Helios Neo 18 and 16 models are also coming, equipped with 14th-gen Intel Core i9 processors and RTX 4070 graphics. These target more mainstream gaming and esports.
All the new Predator laptops feature Acer’s latest cooling technologies like 5th-gen AeroBlade fans and liquid metal thermal grease on the CPUs. The keyboards get an upgrade too, with swappable mechanical MagKey switches for a tactile, responsive feel.
