Launching in India on the 20th of February 2019 the upcoming Vivo V15 and the V15 Pro will feature 32MP front cameras that are contained in a pop up module similar to the Vivo Nex.
The Vivo Nex made headlines at CES last year as one of the first phones to ditch the trending notch in favour of a hidden selfie camera that pops out. Other companies such as Oppo with their Find X implemented similar features later with slider mechanisms.
The Vivo is not likely to launch in the UK but it will no doubt be available from websites like GearBest and BangGood. There has also been a trend of these up and coming Chinese brands launching in the EU and UK so in the future Vivo may become a household name for us.
At the moment the specifications of the phone are just leaks but the credibility of these leaks is high and includes the the official image of the Vivo V15 Pro.
The Vivo V15 Pro will sport a Super AMOLED display, but there’s no word regarding its screen size.
It will be one of the first phones to feature the new Snapdragon 675 which has been revealed as having superior CPU performance compared to the higher end Snapdragon 710.
The processor is paired with an Adreno 612 GPU, which is touted to deliver better graphics rendering capabilities. It’s worth mentioning that Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 7 Pro is also expected to utilise the SD675 chip.
The rear camera will use pixel binning to create a 12MP image from the 48MP snaps, something that has become common among high end camera phones. It is likely to be the same Samsung GM1 sensor as the Redmi Note 7.
The primary shooter will be accompanied by two additional cameras at the rear – 8MP + 5MP. The triple-camera setup will also come with Super Autofocus capabilities.
The Vivo V15 Pro will boast an all-screen fascia with an under-display fingerprint reader, and narrow bezels all around the display.
It is also believed the phone will have a large 4500 mAh battery and 6 GB RAM / 128 GB internal storage.
