I have written about Oclean a few times now; they are a relatively new brand to the market offering relatively affordable electric toothbrushes in comparison to the established brands most people opt for.
I have personally been using the Oclean Flow for the past few months. It is one of the more basic options, but the stand out feature for me was the USB-C charging and 180-day battery life.
The Oclean X Pro Elite sits at the top of the range and has an integrated AMOLED display which allows you to change the settings of the toothbrush and provides a brush time and score. It is also possible to pair this up with an app so you can monitor the quality of your brushing.
Features / Specification
- 42,000 RPM Strong Power
- Large-sized Colour Touchscreen
- Noise Reduction Technology
- 32 Intensities For Each Brushing Modes
- 35 Days Battery life
- Wireless Quick Charging 2.0
- Wall-Mounted Holder
- IPX7 Waterproof
- Companion app
App
Like most apps, Oclean requires you to register an account, and like most app connectable hardware, I don’t really see why an account is required.
Pairing the toothbrush up is easy, the app immediately identified my toothbrush. It then asked me several questions about my teeth and diet then provided a recommended brushing profile (in my case, whitening).
The app has guides for each of the profiles, and you ideally should follow this plan because it changes the intensity for each region of your mouth.
The app will also track your brushing and provide you with a score based on duration, pressure and coverage area. It will also inform you when you should replace your brush head.
Overall, the app is good, and it has motivated me to brush my teeth longer and make sure I get in all the nooks and crannies. Whether or not I commit to using the app to monitor my progress in the long term is another question.
In use
The overall performance of the toothbrush, in combination with following the brushing profile recommendations, has been good.
I can’t say I have followed the exact brushing instructions for the whitening plans, but my teeth do seem a bit whiter.
One of the selling points of this toothbrush is that it runs quietly. I can’t say I have ever thought my toothbrush was too loud, but the Oclean is quieter than other toothbrushes I have used.
I loved my Oclean with its 6-month battery life and the fact it charges via USB-C, I never have to worry about a proprietary cable or charging dock. With the Oclean X Pro Elite, the battery is reduced to a month, it’s better than the big brand names but a big reduction from the flow. Thankfully, the wireless charging is compatible with QI wireless charging pads, so I don’t have to worry about losing the included charger.
Price and Alternative Options
The Oclean X Pro Elite is now available on Amazon, for whatever reason, nor are there any big UK ecommerce stores selling. You can, however, buy it on eBay for under £70.
Amazon has the normal Oclean X Pro for £70.
At the time of writing, from Oral B, the Smart 6 is the closest in pricing at £70. This has a 2-week charge, 5 brushing modes, a companion app but no display.
The Philips Sonicare Advanced Whitening Edition is £90, has a 2-week battery life, 4 cleaning modes, pairs with an app and includes 4 brush heads plus a travel case. This also lacks a display.
Overall
The Oclean X Pro Elite is an excellent toothbrush that is much more affordable than some of the advanced options from Oral B and Sonicare.
The timer on the display and the app have helped me maintain the quality of my brushing, and subjectively, my teeth do appear a bit whiter.
Overall, this is an excellent option if you want something a bit more advanced than the likes of the Flow but don’t want to pay the high price of big brand names.

I really love the Oclean Flow, it’s the only thing that’s strong enough yet gentle for my sensitive teeth and gums.
The brush is smooth, it fits well in my hand and does not slip.
This is the best travel toothbrush.
Thanks to the long lasting battery of Oclean Flow and universal charger. Can’t find any electric toothbrushes better than this one.
