Nvidia has finally announced the hotly anticipated RTX 2000 range, which is the first line of graphics cards to introduce ray tracing which is a technique used to produce photorealistic graphics with true-to-life lighting and shadow formations. It could be the biggest breakthrough in consumer graphics cards for years, but it is dependant on developers implementing this new technology.
We already have details of the reference and founders cards from Nvidia and 3rd party custom solutions are now being announced.
ASUS
ASUS appears to have two cards in each class, with the following options:
GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB DUAL OC Turing Graphics Card – £1,339.99 – A dual fan design
GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB TURBO Turing Graphics Card – 1,273.49 – Blower design
GeForce RTX 2080 8GB ROG STRIX OC – £1,006.49 – Triple fan design
GeForce RTX 2080 8GB DUAL OC – £889.49 – dual fan design
Blurb:

The Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti delivers the ultimate PC gaming experience. Powered by the new NVIDIA Turing GPU architecture and the innovative RTX platform, RTX Ti graphics cards combine real-time ray tracing, artificial intelligence, and programmable shading. Featuring 11GB GDDR6 256-bit memory interface, this is a completely new way to experience games. WINDFORCE provides 3X Cooling System with alternate spinning fans. You can also customise the appearance of your GPU using RGB Fusion – with 16.7M customisable colours you can confidently illuminate your PC in style.
INNO3D
INNO3D has revealed their liquid cooled Geforce RTX2080 Ti, which will feature the company’s custom iCHILL Black cooling solution, which covers the GPU’s core, memory and power circuitry to deliver low operating temperatures.
This cooling solution can cool the iCHILL Black down to 62 degrees Celsius under load, thanks to the GPU’s use of a large 240mm radiator and the unit’s “silent” 120mm fans.
MSI
MSI announced five series of GeForce RTX cards, which means there should be a model that suits everyone’s needs. MSI’s Gaming Trio and Duke series feature dual-slot triple fan cooling solutions and overclocked GPUs.
For small form factor PCs, there is the Ventus series GeForce RTX cards feature a dual-fan cooling system, which is shorter than the triple-fan cooler on the Gaming Trio and Duke models.
MSI also has an Aero model for the GeForce RTX lineup, which features a classic blower-style cooler that dumps the hot air out the rear of your case.
At the top of the range is the Sea Hawk series features a hybrid air & liquid cooling solution, which should enable you to push Nvidia’s new Turing GPU to its limits.
