Aqara has announced a comprehensive range of new products and software updates at IFA 2025 in Berlin, positioning spatial intelligence as the cornerstone of its next-generation home automation strategy. The company is demonstrating these solutions at booth 155 in Hall 1.2 at Messe Berlin.
Enhanced Security Solutions
Doorbell Camera G400 Takes Wired Approach
The Doorbell Camera G400 represents Aqara’s latest entry into always-on surveillance, designed specifically for wired installations. The device features IP65 weather resistance and supports dual power options through either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or low voltage supplies ranging from 8-24V AC/DC.
The G400 incorporates a 2K resolution sensor with head-to-toe coverage capabilities. Cloud-based artificial intelligence handles detection of faces, packages, vehicles, and animals, whilst on-device processing manages motion and person detection. The system maintains compatibility with major smart home platforms including Apple Home with HomeKit Secure Video support, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Home Assistant via RTSP streaming.
Battery-Powered Outdoor Camera Prototype
Aqara’s first battery-operated outdoor camera, the G510, addresses installation flexibility concerns through its integrated solar panel design. The prototype features a substantial 10,400 mAh battery capacity and delivers 2.5K resolution recording at 2560×1440 pixels. Notable features include colour night vision capabilities and on-device AI processing for person, vehicle, and package identification.
Multi-Function Hub for Comprehensive Management
The Home Station M410 prototype serves dual purposes as both a camera hub and Matter controller. For camera networks, it extends range and battery life whilst providing high-capacity local storage through support for HDD, SSD, or microSD expansion. The system enables continuous 24/7 video recording and doubles as a central hub for Aqara and third-party Matter devices.
Energy Management and Climate Control
Next-Generation Radiator Control
The Radiator Thermostat W600 brings dual connectivity through Thread and Zigbee protocols. Users can manage indoor climate through scheduled programming, automated responses, or direct control via mobile applications and voice assistants. The W600 extends battery life to two years compared to previous models and broadens valve compatibility to include RA, RAV, RAVL, Caleffi, Giacomini, and M28×1.5 standards.
Power Management Expansion
Aqara’s H2 series expansion targets European and UK markets with localised power solutions. The Wall Outlet H2 UK integrates fast-charging USB-C connectivity, whilst Power Plug H2 variants cater to EU and UK socket standards. The IP44-rated Outdoor Plug H2 EU addresses weather-resistant outdoor applications, with a Power Strip H2 EU prototype also on display.
These devices incorporate Thread/Zigbee dual-protocol support and Matter compatibility for cross-platform interoperability. Power monitoring capabilities enable energy consumption-based automation triggers within the Aqara Home ecosystem.
Centralised Connectivity Hub
The Hub M200 consolidates multiple protocols into a single device, functioning as a Matter Controller, Thread Border Router, and Matter bridge for existing Zigbee devices. Its 360-degree infrared blaster capability extends control to traditional appliances. The M200 supports Thread, Zigbee, dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and infrared communications, potentially managing over 50 different Matter device categories alongside Aqara’s own products.
Software Platform Enhancements
Aqara Home Updates
The Aqara Home platform gains Soft Sensor functionality, creating virtual sensors that combine data from multiple physical devices using AI models to determine room occupancy more accurately. The Automation 2.0 engine adopts WHEN-IF-THEN logic structures for complex scenario creation, whilst batch control allows simultaneous management of multiple devices through single automation triggers.
Local App Control via LAN enables continued device operation during internet outages when using edge hubs like the Hub M3, improving both reliability and response times.
HomeGuardian Cloud Service Improvements
The HomeGuardian service expands beyond basic motion detection with cloud AI capabilities for identifying faces, packages, animals, vehicles, and fire threats. Vision-Language Models power video summarisation and enable natural language search queries for recorded content. Rich notifications now include contextual snapshots, allowing immediate situation assessment without application access.
