I have covered quite a lot of power banks now and recently been covering my new favourite peripheral company, Anker, a lot.
This is the first time I have covered one of their portable chargers, and this is the smallest one I have ever covered, both in physical dimensions and battery capacity.
This diminutive charger has a capacity of 6700mAh which in theory will fully recharge most phones from flat twice, or in the case of my Huawei Mate 20 Pro, 1.5 times.

The low battery capacity means it can be tiny, I would estimate it is two thirds the height and width of my phone while being a little thicker. This means it can fit comfortably in your pocket with almost no noticeable bulge even when wearing slim pants. Weighing at 118 grams it is also considerably lighter than my phone so there is no noticeable heft to be carried around with this.
You get multiple colour options including the normal boring black, but also a nice bright shade of red, or blue which is what I was sent.
Its size means there are only one input and one output on it, these are not designed as multi-device charge batteries. It also used the PowerIQ technology that Anker have developed which will deliver up to 2 amps fast charging, though it is worth noting that this is not Qualcomm Quick Charge compatible.
It is priced at just £16.99 making it around the same price as most of the other models on Amazon, but with Anker, you get a better than normal 18-month warranty.
I have used this a few times now, I tend to keep several capacity chargers in rotation for different scenarios. It works exactly as you would expect, it can comfortably charge my phone from low to full and some, this means I could get over two days use out of my phone without being near a plug socket.
This size is perfect for a day out when you don’t have a bag or coat big enough to accommodate something larger. Alternatively, it makes a great emergency charger that you keep in a car or your bag. When summer comes back around I will likely use this in my saddle bag when I go on long rides so I don’t have to stress about the battery dying if I need my phone for an emergency.
Overall, if you are like me and suffer from nomophobia from a dead battery as soon as you leave the house, I would highly recommend a device like this. It is cheap enough for it to be a negligible expense, and as always with Anker it works flawlessly. With Christmas quickly approaching this would make a perfect stocking filler.
