British nerds have long gathered in the geeky corners of the internet, but often face a wall of Americanisms or cliques and societies where newcomers struggle to feel welcome.

And, with way too many platforms, topics and societies with endless sub-groups, it has all become a bit much for the typical gentle nerd. Helping us take back control, Nerd Culture is here to bring some order to the nerdy world.

A new home for 18+ nerds, it allows the geeks, artists, creators and experts of every topic, from fantasy, video games, role playing games, sci-fi culture, retro-love, creative arts, writers and many more.

Built around a progress-based experience system, Nerd Culture welcomes positive contributions, providing fan communities with a social platform with a strong friendship focus.

Nerd Culture offers an elegant solution to the needs of today’s geek culture. Helping everyone form meaningful connections between hobbyists, artists, the creator community, gamers, collectible hoarders and cosplayers.

Built for Fun and Interaction

What sets Nerd Culture apart is a set of intelligently-designed social tools that prioritise user experience and safety. These include a forum with smart search and easy creation of groups, helping fans find their best place among the herds.

Smart filters make people match friends based on their interests, tags, location, and their style of engagement. Users can sign up as a member, business or content creator and set up appropriate forums around their products or creations.

In the background, secure real-time messaging protects users, with built-in privacy controls. Whether that’s jumping into a group watch party, users control who sees their content and how they interact. One of the key features of Nerd Culture is the ability to meet-up in the real world via local groups as people get acquainted.

Through meetups and event management features, communities can head offline for game nights, cosplay shows, and panel meetups with smart tools that sync to calendars, optimize group visibility, and notify members intuitively.

Nerd Culture is based around safety, and lets users set boundaries with proactive moderation tools, mute and block functions, and an intuitive reporting system—giving control to users without stifling discussion.

Nerd Culture wasn’t crafted in a boardroom, it was built by six lifelong fans who shared a pain point. Co-founder Steven Weingarth recalls his own struggle: “When I moved to LA, I was stunned by how hard it was to find a good D&D group. I was bouncing between endless Discord invites, Reddit threads, Meetup pages… it felt like shouting into a void.”

Now it is reaching out around the world, helping nerds find their own kin with a safe and cheery atmosphere that will only get as dark as users want it to be. If your current hangouts feel oppressive or overwhelming, Nerd Culture could be the place to find a safer, more welcoming zone that you have more control over, turning into the nerd-world you want to be a part of.
