Squeezing in one more phone release before the month is out, Xiaomi is launching not one, but two phones on the 24th.
It was already expected that Xiaomi will release the Mi Mix 4 on the 24th, but they have now confirmed this will be joined by the Mi 9 Pro. The company will also unveil MIUI 11 to the public as well as a new Mi TV.
The Mi 9 Pro is expected to be a refreshed Mi 9 with the same 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display and overall design. As this is a refresh it will also be bumped up to the new Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and come with a larger 4000mAh battery, fixing my biggest gripe with the original Xiaomi Mi 9. The phone will also be the first device to support the new 30W Mi Charge Turbo wireless charging which was announced last week.
The Mi Mix 4 but it will almost certainly use the Snapdragon 855 plus chipset and feature a curved QHD display.
This will be the first device to feature the new (ridiculous) 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX main sensor alongside telephoto and wide-angle lenses. At the moment, the rumour is that the other lenses will be 16 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a telephoto shooter capable of 5x optical zoom, though I would be surprised to see such a large main sensor combined with such high spec secondary sensors, though if true this could be an amazing camera phone.
Other touted features include 45 W fast charge, 30 W wireless charging and UFS 3.0 storage.
Not much else is known yet, as usual they will launch in China first, and slowly work their way to Europe, likely landing in Spain first.
