Orico are typically a brand I have associated with storage and memory products, such as the Orico Montage MTQ, which was the first 40Gbps USB4 external SSD on the market, and I still use this today when I travel.
They also sell a variety of NVMe drives, and their NVMe enclosures are a popular option on Amazon.
It turns out they also have a variety of different products, including a range of power adaptors such as this travel strip.
As you might imagine, this is going to be quite a short review, but it is a handy product for anyone who travels a lot and is worth highlighting.

Space-Saving & Portable Extension Lead
The Orico compact extension lead is smaller than most mobile phones and features a wrap-around cable design that makes it ideal for travel. Measuring just 14.5 × 9.6 × 7.5 cm, it fits neatly into bags or suitcases without taking up valuable space. This makes it a convenient choice for those needing reliable power access on the go, whether for business trips or holidays.
5-in-1 Travel Extension Lead with USB Ports
This Orico extension lead combines 2 AC power sockets, 2 USB-A ports, and 1 USB-C port, offering a versatile solution for charging multiple devices. It supports a total USB output of 5V/3.4A, with each USB-A port providing up to 5V/2.4A. Ideal for travellers, it allows you to charge up to five devices simultaneously, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, desk lamps, and cameras—without the need for separate chargers or bulky adapters.
Childproof Design Extension Cord
Designed with safety in mind, the extension lead includes a childproof barrier to reduce the risk of accidental contact with live components. Constructed from high-quality pure copper wiring, the cable is thicker than standard alternatives to support a higher current of up to 13A. Its low-profile form resists deformation, offering both durability and peace of mind for use around children.
Compact Flat Plug Power Cord
Standard wall sockets in hotels are often located behind beds or furniture, making them difficult to access. The Orico extension lead features a flat plug and compact cable angle, allowing it to fit behind tight spaces such as beds or sofas. The offset plug design also ensures it won’t obstruct the second socket in a standard UK double wall outlet, allowing both sockets to be used simultaneously.
Multi-Layered Safety Protection
The Orico travel extension lead is equipped with multiple safety mechanisms, including protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, overcharging, short circuits, and overheating. The enclosure is made from flame-retardant polycarbonate with a flame resistance rating of up to 750°C, ensuring enhanced safety and long-term reliability during use at home or abroad.
Design
This is just a 2-plug power strip with 2x USB-A ports and 1x USB-C port. The only notable thing about the design is that the 1.2m cord wraps around the edge of the strip with lips over the edge to keep it from sliding off. You then plug them plug into one of the sockets, and there is a built-in rubber band that holds everything in place.
It is this design that makes this a convenient product, as it is very compact when wrapped up.
Performance
There is not a great deal to say about the performance. Each of the USB ports (A and C) can support 12W, with a maximum of 15.5W output from all the ports, which is not great, but perfectly fine for slow-charging phones or other devices overnight.
While I would prefer a higher power output for the USB-C port, this would typically command a higher price.
The two AC ports allow you to charge much more powerful devices, either with a dedicated charger for things like laptops or a high-power USB-C power delivery plug. On a recent trip to Spain, I combined the Orico with the new Ugreen Nexode 65 W Charger with Retractable USB-C, which kept all my devices fully charged all week.
One of the big advantages of a product like this is the extension lead. I often find hotels have inconveniently located plug sockets. I often find myself using power banks so that I can charge my phone on the bedside table or work on my laptop. This helps alleviate that issue.

£16.99 | Buy on Amazon |
The Orico Travel Power Strip With USB Ports has an RRP of £24, but at the time of writing, it was available on Amazon for £17.
There are several competing options from lesser-known brands. The NTONPOWER Travel Extension Lead is basically the same with 2xAC, 2xUSB-A and 1xUSB-C for £16.
Not quite the same product, but I am a big fan of the various universal travel adaptors available, and you’d need something like this to use the Orico abroad.
The AUNNO Universal Travel Adapter supports UK/USA/EU for both input and output, and it features 2 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports at a reasonable price of £17.
Overall
The Orico Travel Power Strip is a cheap, cheerful and convenient power strip to own for anyone who travels a lot. Of course, if you go abroad, you still need a country-specific adaptor, but this then gives you two AC sockets and the convenience of the cable extension, which I find important when travelling.
There are fractionally cheaper products on the market, but Orico is a reasonably reputable brand, so I’d prefer to spend the £1 extra for this.
Orico Travel Power Strip With USB Ports Review
Summary
The Orico Travel Power Strip with USB Ports is a thoughtfully designed travel accessory that addresses the all-too-common challenges of powering multiple devices in hotel rooms or while on the move. While it doesn’t offer cutting-edge USB charging speeds or universal compatibility on its own, its compact form factor, wrap-around cord design, and practical port selection make it a solid choice for frequent travellers.
For those who often find themselves battling awkward plug socket locations or juggling multiple chargers, this compact solution provides both flexibility and convenience at a very reasonable price.
