Netgear Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender Competition (EX7000)

** The winner of the competition is Mike F. from Manchester. Contact has been made and the prize will be posted today. **

When Netgear supplied us with the fantastic Nighthawk R7000 to review they also sent us the Nighthawk  EX7000 WiFi Range Extender to give away to one of our lucky readers. We haven't actually reviewed this ourselves as we didn't want to open the package but the general consensus is that it is fantastic  with expertreviews.co.uk giving it a 5/5 and pcmag.com giving it 4.5/5.

A little more info on the EX7000, unlike a normal router this is actually a WiFi extender, so as the name suggests it is suppose to boost your current WiFi to cancel out dead zones within your house. You typically do this by places the extender somewhere between the dead zone and your router, and it will then boost the signal.

The EX7000 doesn't just boost your signal though, it offers the great AC1900 Wifi spec as the R7000 providing WiFi over 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It also has 5 ethernet ports, so it is great to wire up physical devices such as consoles and PCs. Then there is also a USB port which allows you to set up a network share.

For your chance to win this fantastic bit of kit courtesy of Netgear then all you have to do is enter below, the winner will be announced on the 26th of September :

a Rafflecopter giveaway

  2. I love to be at the leading edge of great innovative technology, this product is no exception and would also resolve our black spots in our wireless network at home. Other products just do not seem to be able to provide the coverage that they profess to.

  11. We have a dead zone at the rear of our house in an extension. We get very poor wifi and phone signal in this area. This is our main family area and we sometimes end up sat in different rooms rather than together in the evenings due to chasing a signal. This would be great to keep us all in one place

  16. I would love to win the EX7000 because I have very low connection in my bedroom, making working difficult. I work in my bedroom so that the living room television doesn’t distract me (lol!), but it’s proving to be even more time consuming when my internet is taking absolutely ages. These would be an absolute dream to win!

  18. I live in Fenland, which is awful for internet signal. Have a router and a booster and still can only get internet when you’re sat on top of it! This would be so helpful for us and would mean my son can stop moaning about his YouTube videos constantly buffering!

  20. I live at the ‘back of beyond’ and the wifi signal is dismal enough anyway; a decent range extender might allow me to use the laptop where it suits me rather than having to search for a signal in the remotest parts of the loft and outbuildings!

  30. This would be the perfect solution for the dead zones around my house, allowing all family members to have access anywhere to the internet. Being able to plug a NAS into the USB port would enable the whole family to share pictures and music. Great. Just what I need.
