Prime Day has landed and there are some great deals to be had which are already hurting my bank account. I have gone through the deals and picked out some of my favourite offers.
Phones
Xiaomi Mi 9T – 299-Euros
I am not sure this is a Prime deal, but I checked it today and it is both in stock and reduced on Amazon.es. At 299-euros, if you use a perfect currency card this should be about £268. There are no delivery fees, taxes or duties, you just won’t get next day delivery.
Amazon Products
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra HD – £24.99
Was £49.99. The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is amazing, one of the best streaming devices on the market, and one of the only devices that can do both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. At £25 there is not a device on the market that comes close to this in functionality.
It’s one flaw, which I actually only noticed recently if you use an ethernet adaptor it is only 100Mbps. So you need to use Wi-Fi if you want to stream large local 4K files.
Echo Show 5 – £49.99
Was £79.99. This is the same price as the none discounted Echo Dot. Great for the kitchen, bedside table or in the office.
Ring Video Doorbell 2 – £119.00
Was £179.00 – One of my favourite gadgets in the past couple of years, it is not perfect but I get some many deliveries and pickups it used to give me anxiety about missing things when in the house. Now I never miss a delivery when at home, and always know exactly when someone has been. It notifies my Garmin, flashes Philips Hue, and alerts my Echo Dots!
Ring Floodlight Cam – £169.00
Was £249.00. I have not used this one yet but the Ezviz Floodlight copies the design and that is fantastic.
Networking
Synology DS418play 4 Bay – £349.43
Was £446.18 – I think this is the cheapest the DS418play has ever been and it is possibly the best model on the market for price/performance. Even though I have a custom build server, I bought one!
NETGEAR Orbi Ultimate RBK50 – 2 pack £210 or 3 pack £300
Was £279.99/£433.42. Arguably the best mesh wi-fi system on the market, certainly the most popular brand. This is the top of the range offering from Netgear and a three pack will cover a very large home.
D-Link COVR-C1203/B AC1200 Dual Band Whole Home Mesh Wi‑Fi System – £119.95
Was £217.99 – I have not reviewed this model but the excellent COVR-2202, Not sure I would have paid the RRP, but for £120 this is a bargain. This should easy eliminate any Wi-Fi blackspots from a large home.
Fitness
Garmin Fenix 5 Plus – £379.99
Was £599.99 – Absolutely amazing price, can’t believe these were £600 just last September. I seriously want to upgrade my Fenix 5 to the Plus model now!
Garmin Fenix 5S – £279.99
£499.99 – The old 5S has been a great price for a while now, but even cheaper today. If you can live without NFC payments, maps and music then this is a great choice. I think the Fenix 5S is the best looking sports or smartwatch available too.
Simba Mattress – Double £421 – King Size £486
King was £749 – A ludicrous deal from Simba, I loved this mattress when I reviewed it, and now you can get 35% knocked off it. This still has a 100-night trial and 10-year guarantee, so even if you don’t like it you can return it within 3 months.
Lastly, Prime Members can get 20% off open box products. I picked up my 2nd NAS of the day was the TerraMaster F4-420 for just £180!
