The Eureka RapidWash NEW430 is a cordless wet and dry vacuum mop that aims to combine the benefits of vacuuming and mopping into one efficient device. As homes increasingly opt for hard floors, having a tool that can handle both dust and spills simultaneously becomes essential.

I recently reviewed the Bosch Unlimited 7 Aqua, which is a cordless vacuum with a mopping function. I thought it was an excellent product, but it is quite different to this. The Eureka can’t vacuum carpets, but it does have better mopping performance.

Included in the box are the main unit, a docking station, a cleaning brush, a cleaning solution, and a user manual. Setting up the vacuum is straightforward, with clear instructions provided. All you need to do is connect the handle and pole to the main unit and fit the water tank.

Interestingly, the controls from the handle down to the main unit are connected via USB. I though that aligning the USB may be difficult but the pole has a grove in it making sure you insert it correctly.

Performance

Cleaning Efficiency

The Eureka RapidWash NEW430 demonstrates impressive cleaning capabilities on various floor types. Its dual-tank system keeps clean and dirty water separate, ensuring that only fresh water and cleaning solution are applied to the floor. The device effectively removes both surface dirt and more stubborn stains. The roller brush, combined with the suction power, lifts dirt from floor crevices and grout lines. However, for extremely tough stains, some manual scrubbing might still be necessary.

Battery Life

The lithium-ion battery provides approximately 35 minutes of runtime in ECO mode, which is sufficient for cleaning medium-sized living spaces. However, using the MAX mode or the self-propelled function can significantly reduce the battery life. For larger homes or more intensive cleaning sessions, you might need to recharge the device mid-cleaning.

Noise Level

The RapidWash NEW430 operates at a moderate noise level. While not whisper-quiet, it’s not excessively loud compared to traditional vacuum cleaners. The noise level increases slightly in MAX mode but remains tolerable for most users.

Manoeuvrability

The self-propelled function and swivel steering make the RapidWash NEW430 easy to manoeuvre around furniture and into corners. The slim design allows it to clean under low-clearance furniture, reaching areas that might be challenging for bulkier cleaning devices

Regular maintenance of the RapidWash NEW430 is relatively simple. The self-cleaning function helps keep the roller brush clean, but occasional manual cleaning may be necessary for optimal performance. The filters are washable and reusable, contributing to the device’s long-term cost-effectiveness.

The Eureka RapidWash NEW430 is available to buy now directly from Eureka for $280 and it is also available from Amazon.

Eureka does have a presence in the UK, but this is currently limited to just a few cordless and upright vacuum cleaners.

The Bosch Unlimited 7 Aqua I recently reviewed was different to this as it was a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum, and it only used a small amount of water and didn’t create dirty water. It has a premium price of £500, and I found it to be an excellent cleaning product if you need a vacuum and mop but the mopping performance of the Eureka RapidWash is superior.

Amazon US lists some competing products, with some looking almost identical.

The JONR ED12 is available for $250 and appears to be a clone of the Eureka RapidWash.

Kenmore HF5010, for $250, has a similar specification but a different design.

The Tineco iFLOOR 5 is a popular option at $299

Then there is the flagship Tineco Floor ONE S5 PRO 2 which is available for $550

Dreame also has two premium priced products with the H13 Pro at £640 or the H12 Dual at $600.
