If you are looking for an affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S10 then the newly leaked Galaxy A60 is shaping up to be a great mid-range option.

Most of the design and specification have been leaked ahead of its impending launch with a strong confidence in accuracy.

The phone follows the announcement of the smaller A50, A30 and A10 models that were announced recently.

This phone has a very large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity U screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels), a U-shaped notch, and an in-display fingerprint reader. That is a huge screen which is only matched by the top of the range Galaxy S10 Plus 5G.

There is an impressive camera set up with a 32MP selfie camera (mostly a Samsung ISOCELL GD1), which is higher resolution compared to the 25MP selfie camera used in the Galaxy A50. The rear-facing triple camera consists of a 32MP or 35MP sensor with a wide-angle lens, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. There’s LED flash and phase-detection autofocus. The phone can capture images with background blur and record 4K videos at 30fps.

With this model Samsung has gone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset over their own Exynos chipsets, possibly to differentiate it from the lower end models. The Snapdragon 675 was announced in January replacing the not very old Snapdragon 670.

The Galaxy A60 will also feature 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It will have an impressive battery of 4500mAh battery to power the larger, 6.7-inch screen. The Galaxy A60 will most probably feature the same 15W fast charging technology that we saw with the recent Galaxy M series and Galaxy A series of phones.

Most of the other specifications are standard, there will be a dual SIM slot allowing you to expand the memory. The phone will also have a 3.5mm headphone jack similar to the majority of Samsung phones.

The leak also gives a rough launch date of April 2019, but at the moment the price of the phone is pure speculation. It is expected that the A50 will launch between £260 and £350 and the cheapest Galaxy S10e is £669 so my best guess would be somewhere in the middle around £450. While this would make it a great phone it is worth noting that there are many affordable flagship devices now, the Xiaomi Mi 9 can be bought from Amazon Spain for less than £400
