Honor has announced the release of its latest flagship smartphone, the Magic7 Pro, across European markets. The new device, which will be available from 15th January 2025, introduces substantial improvements in AI capabilities, photography features, and hardware performance.

UK and European Market Entry

The Magic7 Pro enters the UK market at £1,099.99 and will be available through major retailers including EE, O2, Three, Vodafone, Amazon, Argos, Very, and Currys. UK customers who pre-order through Honor.com/uk can claim a complimentary Honor MagicPad 2, valued at £499.99. The device will also launch in Ireland in February, priced at €1,299.99, available through Harvey Norman and Three.
Bond Zhang, CEO of Honor UK&I, highlighted the company’s growing presence in these markets, noting that over one million customers have already chosen Honor devices in the UK and Ireland.

The Magic7 Pro runs on MagicOS 9.0, Honor’s latest operating system, which incorporates several AI-powered features:
Magic Portal
The system allows users to circle objects on screen for instant text and image comprehension, providing quick access to relevant services. This functionality extends across social media, entertainment, travel, productivity, and shopping applications.
AI Translation
Built-in translation capabilities support 13 languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Latin Spanish, Malay, Arabic, and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese).
Productivity Tools
Honor Notes includes AI Summary functionality for quick content analysis and abstract generation. The AI Minutes feature helps users extract key information from meeting transcripts and training materials.
Camera System and Photography

The Magic7 Pro features a sophisticated triple-camera setup:
- 50MP Super Dynamic Honor Falcon Main Camera with f/1.4 adjustable aperture
- 50MP Wide Camera optimised for landscape and group photography
- 200MP Telephoto Camera with advanced 1/1.4″ sensor and f/2.6 aperture
The device introduces the AI Honor IMAGE ENGINE, which combines three AI models:

- Capture Enhancement Large Model
- Telephoto Enhancement Large Model

It is the photography improvements where the Magic7 Pro shines. While the hardware hasnt seen a massive improvement, Honor has heavily integretated AI into the camera system. In pasticular, this can be seem with the new AI enhanced superzoom.

The Magic7 Pro comes with a 6.8-inch display featuring several eye comfort technologies:
- Circular Polarized Light Display mimicking sunlight characteristics
- 4320Hz Risk-free PWM Dimming (TÜV Rheinland certified)

- Hardware-level Low Blue Light Technology
The screen is protected by Honor NanoCrystal Shield, which offers ten times more drop resistance than standard glass and includes dust and water-resistant capabilities.

The integrated 4-in-1 Honor E2 Chip manages power consumption and monitors battery health, adjusting current based on environmental factors and workload demands.
While the battery will no doubt be excellent, it is worth noting that it is smaller than last years variant and smaller than this years Chinese variant. During a group interview, press tried to find out why this change has been made but were given a vague non-answer of the Chinese market being different than UK.
Gaming and Audio
The Magic7 Pro incorporates several gaming-focused features:

Honor is simultaneously launching a more affordable option, the Magic7 Lite, priced at £399.99 in the UK. This model will be available in Titanium Purple and Titanium Black, with early purchasers eligible to receive Honor Earbuds Open (worth £149.99) as a gift with purchase.
The Magic7 Pro represents Honor Ho’s commitment to establishing itself as a major player in the premium smartphone market, building on its existing success with over one million users in the UK and Ireland. The device will be available in Lunar Shadow Grey and Black colour options.
