I’ve been dabbling in the world of Cookie Run: Kingdom for a good while now, and it remains one of the more charming yet surprisingly deep gacha RPGs on mobile. This guide was originally put together back in November 2024, but a few things have changed, and I’ve managed to find some new, working codes for August 2025.

If you’re new to the game, don’t be fooled by the cute, gingerbread-man-on-the-run aesthetic. At its core, this is a strategic team-building RPG combined with a kingdom management simulator. Essentially, you build up your base to produce the resources needed to power up your army of sentient cookies, which you then send into battle. It’s a familiar loop, but one that Devsisters has polished to a high shine.

What Is Cookie Run Kingdom

On the surface, it’s a game where you collect dozens of different “Cookies”—the game’s characters—and lead them in real-time battles. You’ll be fighting through a surprisingly lengthy story campaign, tackling other players’ teams in the PvP arena, and taking on massive bosses with your guild.

The other half of the game is your kingdom. This isn’t just for show; it’s the engine of your entire operation. You’ll build structures to generate everything from wood and sugar to advanced materials for levelling up your Cookies’ skills and equipping them with “Toppings” (the game’s gear system). Honestly, managing your kingdom efficiently is just as crucial as having a powerful team.

Cookie Run Kingdom Characters

Cookie Run Kingdom Characters

In Cookie Run Kingdom, characters are called Cookies, and each Cookie has unique abilities and traits that contribute to team strategies in battles and kingdom management. These characters are categorised by rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Ancient) and by type (such as Charge, Defence, Support, Ambush, and Magic). Here is an overview of the types of characters players can encounter:

1. Types of Cookies

  • Charge Cookies: These Cookies are front-line fighters that deal significant damage to opponents. They are ideal for leading the team and absorbing damage.
  • Defence Cookies: Strong and durable, Defence Cookies protect the team by acting as tanks, soaking up damage and often providing defensive buffs.
  • Magic Cookies: These Cookies wield powerful spells and special abilities that can target single enemies or multiple foes, making them essential for dealing high damage in key situations.
  • Support Cookies: These characters enhance the performance of their teammates by providing healing, buffs, or other supportive effects to keep the team balanced and strong.
  • Ambush Cookies: Known for their stealth and speed, Ambush Cookies typically attack from behind enemy lines, dealing targeted damage and disrupting the opponent’s formation.
  • Ranged Cookies: These Cookies are proficient at attacking from a distance, providing consistent damage output while staying away from direct hits.

2. Notable Cookies

  • Ancient and Legendary Cookies: These are rare and powerful characters, often central to the game’s lore and highly sought after by players. Examples include Pure Vanilla Cookie and Hollyberry Cookie, each with powerful skills and distinct roles.
  • Epic Cookies: These characters are highly valued due to their strong abilities and unique designs. Some popular Epic Cookies include Sea Fairy CookieCotton Cookie, and Dark Choco Cookie.
  • Common and Rare Cookies: While not as powerful as their Epic, Legendary, or Ancient counterparts, Common and Rare Cookies can still be essential in the early stages of gameplay or as fillers in certain team compositions.

3. Customisation and Upgrades

Players can level up their Cookies, enhance their abilities, and equip them with Toppings, which are items that grant stat boosts and allow for further customisation of a character’s performance. This makes it essential for players to consider strategic combinations when building their teams.

4. Special Event Cookies

Devsisters often releases limited-time Cookies during special events, which adds excitement and variability to team-building strategies. These Cookies are usually themed and can come with unique abilities that may not be found in regular gameplay.

The characters in Cookie Run Kingdom contribute not only to battle mechanics but also to the rich lore and storytelling within the game. Collecting, upgrading, and strategically deploying these Cookies are at the heart of what makes the gameplay engaging and dynamic.

Cookie Run Kingdom Tier List

tier list in Cookie Run Kingdom ranks Cookies based on their strength, versatility, and effectiveness in different modes, such as PvE (Player vs Environment) and PvP (Player vs Player). The highest-ranked characters, typically referred to as S-tier, are considered the most powerful and versatile in almost all situations. Some Cookies in this category include Pure Vanilla CookieHollyberry Cookie, and Sea Fairy Cookie. Lower-ranked Cookies, such as those in B-tier or C-tier, might only be useful in specific scenarios or during the early stages of the game.

It’s important to note that tier lists can change depending on updates, buffs, and new releases. As such, players should regularly check for the latest rankings to make sure they are using the best possible Cookies for their teams.

A Brutally Honest Take on Tier Lists

You’ll see tier lists for Cookie Run: Kingdom all over the internet, ranking Cookies from S-tier (the best) down to C or D-tier. My honest advice? Don’t get too obsessed with them.

These lists are constantly changing due to game updates and new character releases (a phenomenon known as power creep). More importantly, a well-balanced team of A-tier Cookies with good synergy will almost always outperform a poorly constructed team of S-tier Cookies.

Unless you plan on spending a significant amount of money to chase the absolute top of the PvP ladder, your focus should be on building the best possible team with the Cookies you actually have. Synergy is everything.

Cookie Run Kingdom Codes

Cookie Run Kingdom codes are special promotional codes released by Devsisters that players can redeem for various in-game rewards, such as CrystalsCoinsEXP Star Jellies, and other valuable resources. These codes are often released during updates, events, or anniversaries, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the game’s social media channels or community forums.

The rewards from codes can significantly boost a player’s progress, especially when starting out or levelling up Cookies. Codes typically have an expiry date, so players should redeem them as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the rewards.

Best Cookies In Cookie Run Kingdom

While tier lists can be fickle, some Cookies have remained top-tier or highly useful for a very long time due to their powerful and versatile kits.

  • Pure Vanilla Cookie (Healer): Still one of the best healers in the game. His ability not only heals the entire team but provides a damage-absorbing shield, which is an absolute lifesaver in tough fights.
  • Sea Fairy Cookie (Magic): A legendary damage dealer whose power comes from her massive area-of-effect (AoE) attack that also stuns any enemies it hits. This crowd control is what makes her so dominant in PvP.
  • Hollyberry Cookie (Defence): An exceptional tank. She absorbs a huge amount of damage and reduces incoming damage for the whole team, making her the premier choice for your front line.
  • Cotton Cookie (Support): A phenomenal Epic Cookie that I’d argue is one of the most versatile in the game. She provides excellent healing over time, stuns enemies with her sheep, and those sheep also deal a surprising amount of damage.

While you’re waiting to pull these top-tier Cookies, characters like Eclair Cookie (an excellent damage-dealer and debuffer) or Strawberry Crepe Cookie (a great alternative tank) can be fantastic and much easier to obtain.

Best Cookie Run Kingdom Team

Creating the best team in Cookie Run Kingdom depends on balancing different roles to ensure survivability, damage output, and support. A well-rounded A balanced team is key. While the specific Cookies will depend on what you have, a classic, well-rounded formation will get you through most of the game’s content. My go-to setup usually follows this template:

  • Front (1 Cookie): A solid Defence Cookie like Hollyberry Cookie.
  • Middle (2 Cookies): Your primary Damage Dealers, like Sea Fairy Cookie and another strong AoE or single-target attacker.
  • Back (2 Cookies): A Healer and a Support. My personal favourite combination is Pure Vanilla Cookie and Cotton Cookie, as the mix of burst healing, healing-over-time, and summoned minions is incredibly effective.

The idea is that your tank groups enemies up and absorbs hits, your damage dealers wipe them out, and your backline keeps everyone alive. This setup works for most story stages and is a great starting point for the PvP Arena.

Cookie Run Kingdom Holiday Express Answers

The Holiday Express event in Cookie Run Kingdom is a seasonal event where players complete quizzes and challenges to earn rewards. The questions often revolve around game lore, character details, or in-game mechanics.

For example, a question might ask, “Which Cookie is known for their healing powers?” The correct answer would be Pure Vanilla Cookie. Players should pay attention to in-game stories and descriptions to answer these questions accurately. Participating in these events is a great way to earn additional rewards and learn more about the game’s lore.

How To Leave A Guild In Cookie Run Kingdom

To leave a guild in Cookie Run Kingdom, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Guild menu by tapping on the guild icon on the main screen.
  2. Once inside the guild, tap on the Settings button (usually represented by a gear icon).
  3. Select Leave Guild from the options provided.
  4. Confirm your decision when prompted.

Leaving a guild means you will no longer have access to guild rewards or activities, so make sure you are certain before taking this step. It’s also courteous to inform your guildmates if you plan on leaving.

Cookie Run Kingdom Base

The base in Cookie Run Kingdom is the player’s kingdom, which they can build and expand over time. Players start with a small plot of land and gradually add buildings, decorations, and production facilities to grow their kingdom.

Key components of the base include:

  • Production Buildings: These structures produce resources such as WoodJellybeans, and Sugar Cubes, which are essential for upgrading buildings and crafting items.
  • Landmarks: Landmarks provide various buffs to the kingdom, such as increased attack power or faster production times.
  • Decorations: Players can decorate their kingdoms with various items to increase the Decor Points, which can unlock additional rewards and make the kingdom look aesthetically pleasing.

Managing and upgrading the base is a crucial part of the game, as it provides the resources needed to strengthen Cookies and progress through the story. Proper planning and placement of buildings can make resource management more efficient, leading to faster progression.
