With Ryzen 3000 series desktop processors launching relatively soon there are a huge number of new motherboards being prepped for release.

Videocardz has managed to aquire the list of new models Asus is preppeing to release on the X570 platform. This list likely won’t be complete but these will be the boards that release at or soon after launch.

You won’t have to have an X570 board to use Ryzen 3000, firmware updates will allow compatibility for previous generation boards. However, it is worth noting that recent leaks suggest that B350 may not support or have limited support for the new CPUs.

The most exciting part of the X570 series is that it is expected to be the first PCIe 4.0 enabled motherboards. PCI Express 4.0 will provide 16 GT/s bit rate that doubles the bandwidth provided by PCI Express 3.0, while maintaining backwards and forward compatibility in both software support and used mechanical interface. PCI Express 4.0 specs will also bring OCuLink-2, an alternative to Thunderbolt connector. OCuLink version 2 will have up to 16 GT/s (8 GB/s total for ×4 lanes), while the maximum bandwidth of a Thunderbolt 3 connector is 5 GB/s.

As you would expect there are the usual names in the list with  ROG, ROG Strix, PRIME, and TUF variants. Although curiously, there is also a new workstation model called the Pro WS X570-ACE. The ROG Strix X570-I and CROSSHAIR VIII IMPACT are most likely mini-ITX models and the rest will probably be standard ATX form-factor motherboards.
