Yeedi recently announced their latest robot vacuum, the M14 Plus, which has been launched in the US and is available on Amazon with an RRP of $1400, but with early bird discounts taking it to $850.
Yeedi sent me this several weeks ago, and I have been using it as my main robot vacuum since.
As this has only been launched in the US, I have had to review it using a transformer to ensure it works with UK voltages.

Features
ZMO ROLLER Instant Self-Washing Mopping
The YEEDI M14 PLUS incorporates the OZMO ROLLER system, featuring a 6.89-inch mop that rotates at 200 RPM to replicate the motion of manual scrubbing for tackling persistent stains. The system employs intelligent water flow control that adjusts moisture levels dynamically during operation, delivering thorough cleaning whilst preventing residue build-up on floor surfaces.
18000Pa Suction and ZeroTangle 3.0 Technology
This robot vacuum delivers 18,000Pa suction power combined with ZeroTangle 3.0 anti-hair tangling technology to capture embedded dirt, pet hair, and debris from various floor types. The unit’s ultra-thin radar-enhanced design enables it to navigate beneath furniture and through narrow spaces, providing comprehensive floor coverage throughout the home.
167°F Hot Water Mop Washing and Self-Drying
The integrated OMNI Station handles maintenance tasks automatically, using 167°F hot water to sterilise mops and 145°F hot air drying to prevent odour development. The system includes a 75-day self-emptying dustbin capacity, whilst a transparent water tank allows users to monitor water levels easily. Automatic refilling maintains continuous operation during extended cleaning cycles.
TruEdge 2.0 Precision Edge Cleaning
TruEdge 2.0 technology dynamically extends the roller brush and adjusts side brush positioning to achieve complete edge coverage along walls and corners. This system addresses areas that traditional robot vacuums often miss, including tight spaces around baseboards and furniture edges.
Smart Multi-Surface Customisation
The YEEDI app provides comprehensive cleaning customisation options, including automatic mop lifting to protect carpeted areas and adjustable suction power settings for different surface types. Users can configure water flow levels across multiple settings, enable multi-pass cleaning for heavily trafficked areas, create scheduled cleaning routines, and edit room maps for tailored home maintenance programmes.
Unboxing / Design

The overall design is good as far as robot vacuums go. The design is slightly more compact than similar rivals.
The most noticeable feature is the lack of a top-mounted LiDAR unit. Instead, it has an internal unit, which helps reduce the overall height of the robot down to 98mm.
It is interesting to compare the design of this to my Dreame L40 Ultra. The Dreame has mopping pads, then it has an extensible side brush to sweep dirt from tight corners, and one side of the mop extends out to squeeze under tight spaces.
For the Yeedi, it doesn’t have an extendable side sweeping brush, but it is mounted much closer to the edge, giving it similar performance in tight spaces. The big difference is that it uses a roller rather than a mop pad. This roller can then extend out sideways to mop the floor flush with the edge of your walls.
Set Up

The initial setup process follows the standard process for robot vacuums. After assembling the unit and placing it in the charging station, the setup involves downloading the Yeedi app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. The process is straightforward and well-documented, with clear instructions guiding users through each step.
The app interface presents a clean, functional design that provides access to all major features without overwhelming complexity. Multi-level mapping support, virtual barriers, and advanced room-by-room scheduling are all present, meeting expectations for a device in this price category. However, during the review period, certain features like video monitoring remained unavailable, presumably awaiting firmware updates.
Yeedi App Settings and GUI

Mapping

The M14 Plus combines dToF LiDAR with vision-based navigation, a configuration that should theoretically provide excellent mapping accuracy. In practice, the mapping performance meets expectations for this technology combination, successfully creating detailed floor plans and intelligently dividing spaces into logical room segments.
The robot has excellent navigation performance around furniture and obstacles. It did occasionally have some minor issues, but this is common for most robot vacuums. During testing, the unit occasionally became stuck between chair legs in scenarios where many premium competitors would navigate successfully.
While the internal LiDAR configuration reduces the overall height, the robot is still around the same height as average compared to many other robots. I think this is likely due to the increasing complexity of robot vacuums, with the advanced mopping features, retractable arms and the combination of LiDAR and vision-based navigation.
Edge detection and boundary recognition work reliably, with the robot successfully identifying different floor types and automatically adjusting behaviour accordingly. The ability to manually add carpets and define specific cleaning strategies for different areas provides useful flexibility for households with varied flooring.
Video
With it having camera-based vision navigation, you can, in theory, watch video feeds of it cleaning.
However, during my review period, I was unable to get the video function to work. I assume this will be enabled with a firmware update at a later date.
Mopping
This is the first robot vacuum I have used with a roller mop. This is something I think I first saw with the Eufy S1 Pro. Eufy demoed this technology at IFA last year, and it seems to offer significantly better mopping performance. In particular, with spillages, it was able to mop up the mess in one pass, rather than a mop pad, which partially cleaned it up and partially spread it around.
As for this robot, I would say that the mopping performance is better than that of my Dreame. In my kitchen, you can clearly see the mopped bits, which look damp and clean after one pass, whereas my Dreame seems to require a couple of passes to complete the mopping process.
Vacuum Cleaning
The M14 Plus delivers strong vacuuming performance with its 18,000Pa suction power. This suction power makes it one of the more powerful robot vacuums on the market, and the performance appears to reflect this. The robot effectively handles both fine dust and larger debris across hard floors and carpets.
The ZeroTangle 3.0 technology proves effective at managing hair and pet fur. The system combines a redesigned side brush configuration with a V-shaped main brush arrangement that actively prevents hair from becoming entangled. During testing, the unit consistently cleared hair without requiring manual intervention, a significant advantage for pet owners or households like mine, where I have a partner with long hair that constantly sheds.
However, some debris scattering occurs with the side brush, particularly when encountering larger amounts of material on hard floors. This isn’t unique to the Yeedi but represents a trade-off between the convenience of robot vacuums and manually vacuuming. The automatically extending side brush performs well when detecting corners and edges, providing improved coverage in tight spaces.
Edge Cleaning and TruEdge 2.0
The TruEdge 2.0 system addresses one of the traditional weaknesses of robot vacuums: comprehensive edge cleaning. The combination of the extending roller mop and adaptive positioning allows the M14 Plus to achieve close contact with walls and baseboards.
The 3D Edge Sensor technology enables the robot to identify and navigate complex edge configurations, including irregular skirting boards and suspended furniture. This capability proves effective in real-world environments where perfect right angles are rare.
During testing, the edge cleaning performance proved notably effective, with the robot successfully maintaining contact with walls whilst avoiding collisions. The extending roller reaches areas that fixed systems cannot access, providing more thorough coverage along perimeters.
OMNI Station Functionality
The OMNI Station provides excellent automation for maintenance tasks, handling dust disposal, mop washing, water refilling, and drying operations. The station’s compact design allows installation in relatively tight spaces whilst maintaining full functionality.
The hot water mop washing at 75°C provides effective sanitisation, whilst the 63°C hot air drying prevents odour development and maintains mop hygiene. The 3-litre dust bag capacity and 4-litre water tanks provide reasonable capacity for most households, though frequent emptying may be required in homes with pets or high dust levels.
The automatic refilling system works reliably, ensuring the robot can complete full cleaning cycles without manual intervention. The transparent water tanks allow easy monitoring of levels, providing a clear indication when refilling becomes necessary.
Temperature-controlled washing and drying represent significant advantages over basic systems, contributing to better hygiene and reduced maintenance requirements. The 150-day hands-free operation claim appears realistic for average households, though actual intervals will vary based on usage patterns and home conditions.
For both this and my Dreame, I have found that the water tanks need filling/emptying much more frequently than the dust collection, so you do have to be mindful about maintaining it, which is something I have found difficulty adjusting to compared to the once a month emptying a did before having a robot vacuum with a all-in-one station like this.
Smart Features and App Control
The Yeedi app provides comprehensive control over the M14 Plus’s functions, which works adequately and have all the functions you expect from a premium robot vacuum. Multi-level mapping support allows management of different floors, whilst virtual barriers and no-go zones provide precise control over cleaning areas.
Carpet detection and management features prove particularly well-implemented. The robot automatically identifies different carpet types and allows individual cleaning strategies for each area. The “Carpets First” mode ensures dry vacuuming before mopping begins, whilst “Carpet Deep Cleaning” provides enhanced coverage for high-traffic areas.
Voice control integration with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri provides convenient hands-free operation, though the implementation feels standard rather than exceptional. The lack of built-in voice assistance or advanced AI features keeps the focus on core cleaning functionality. Personally, I rely on schedules for my cleaning activities, so I am not too bothered about things like voice control.
With scheduling, you have control over cleaning patterns, suction levels, and water flow rates. The ability to create room-specific settings provides useful flexibility for households with varying cleaning requirements.
Battery Life
Yeedi claims this has a 240-minute run time, which is much longer than needed for my house. Looking at my cleaning records, it typically does 50 m2 in 70 minutes.
Like most robot vacuums, this has settings for auto-resume, so if you live in a large home or demanding cleaning settings, the robot will manage its charging and cleaning automatically.
Price and Alternative Options
The Yeedi M14 Plus has been launched in the US and is available on Amazon.com.
The RRP is $1200, and it is available during the initial launch period for $850.
The Yeedi S14 Plus is very similar, basically, the brushes have been improved on the M14 Plus. At the time of writing, the S14 Plus is listed at $1200 RRP discounted to $950.
Yeedi is the affordable sub-brand of Ecovacs, and some people have claimed this is effectively the same as the Ecovacs T80 Omni, which has an RRP of $1079.
The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni is supposed to be similar to the S14 Plus, and this is currently available for $1100.
Ecovacs also has a newer X9 Pro at $1600.
Dreame has the X40 Ultra on Amazon.com for $1000, and on paper, it is not as good as the Yeedi.
The Eufy S1 has an RRP of $1300 but is available for $800, which is supposed to be excellent. The one thing missing on this is an extendable sweeping brush and mop.
Overall
The Yeedi M14 Plus is a superb robot vacuum and mop.
The Ozmo Roller system provides genuine advantages over traditional mopping approaches, making it particularly suitable for households with hard floors and regular cleaning challenges.
The robot’s mopping performance, anti-tangle technology, and comprehensive station functionality make this an excellent choice for people wanting to minimise floor cleaning tasks.
For households prioritising mopping performance and seeking access to premium cleaning technology at a more accessible price point, the M14 Plus represents a solid choice. The launch pricing makes it attractive, but the discounts are perhaps a little misleading. Ecovacs has models at a similar price point, and Eufy has a lower-priced model, albeit not quite as advanced.
As I live in the UK, my main criticism would be that these advanced Yeedi models are not available here. We do have access to the Ecovacs models, though.
Overall, I can give the Yeedi M14 Plus a strong recommendation.
