Acer has announced four new connectivity products at CES 2026, bringing Wi-Fi 7 and 5G technology to its networking lineup. The range includes the gaming-focused Predator Connect X7S 5G CPE, two Acer Connect Ovia mesh routers, and the portable Acer Connect M4D 5G Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
Predator Connect X7S 5G CPE: Cellular and Wi-Fi 7 Combined

The Predator Connect X7S is Acer’s first 5G Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) device under the Predator gaming brand. It combines cellular connectivity with tri-band Wi-Fi 7 support, targeting gamers and users in areas where fibre broadband is unavailable or unreliable.
The device supports 5G NR with theoretical downlink speeds of up to 4.67 Gbps, alongside 4G LTE and 3G WCDMA fallback. On the wireless side, it delivers tri-band Wi-Fi 7 across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, with combined speeds reaching up to 5,764 Mbps. The inclusion of Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows the router to use multiple bands simultaneously, which should help maintain stable connections when multiple devices are competing for bandwidth.
Acer has equipped the X7S with Hybrid Quality of Service that is compatible with the Intel Killer Prioritisation Engine. This feature aims to allocate bandwidth intelligently for latency-sensitive applications such as online gaming, video streaming and cloud services. Whether this delivers noticeable real-world benefits will depend heavily on your specific network usage patterns.
The hardware specifications are reasonable for this class of device. It runs on an IPQ5322 processor paired with the FM550 modem, backed by 1 GB of LPDDR4 memory and 512 MB of NAND storage. Physical connectivity includes three RJ45 ports (one WAN, two LAN), with the WAN port supporting 2.5 Gbps Ethernet as a backup or alternative to the cellular connection. The device accepts Nano-SIM cards and weighs 950 grams with dimensions of 109 mm x 109 mm x 212 mm.
Acer Connect Ovia T360 and T520: Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Options

The Acer Connect Ovia range introduces two mesh router options at different price points and capability levels.
Ovia T360: Dual-Band Entry Point
The T360 is the more affordable option, offering dual-band Wi-Fi 7 across 2.4 GHz (688 Mbps) and 5 GHz (2,882 Mbps) bands. Each node covers approximately 90 square metres, making it suitable for smaller homes or apartments. The router uses a 2.0 GHz quad-core ARM processor with 512 MB of DDR3L memory and 128 MB of storage.
Physical ports include one WAN and two LAN connections, all running at standard Gigabit speeds based on the specification sheet. The cylindrical white design measures 110 mm in diameter and 154.5 mm in height, with a weight of around 360 grams.
Ovia T520: Tri-Band for Larger Spaces
The T520 steps up to tri-band Wi-Fi 7, adding a 6 GHz band capable of 5,764 Mbps alongside the 5 GHz (2,882 Mbps at 160 MHz) and 2.4 GHz (688 Mbps) bands. Coverage extends to approximately 110 square metres per node, better suited to larger properties or those with more connected devices.
The T520 uses a 1.5 GHz quad-core ARM processor with 512 MB of DDR4 memory. It adds an extra LAN port compared to the T360, providing one WAN and three LAN connections. The larger chassis measures 116 mm in diameter and 202 mm in height, weighing approximately 850 grams.
Both mesh routers support MLO for improved latency and throughput, automatic node-switching for seamless roaming between access points, and management through the Acer Connect smartphone app. Security features include WPA3 encryption, VPN support, parental controls and firewall options.
Acer Connect M4D 5G Mobile Wi-Fi: Portable Connectivity

The M4D is a pocket-sized 5G hotspot designed for travellers and remote workers. It supports 5G NR, 4G LTE and 3G WCDMA networks, distributing connectivity to up to 16 devices simultaneously via dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).
Battery life is quoted at up to 15 hours of typical use, though real-world figures will vary depending on signal strength and connected device count. The unit measures 140 mm x 73.5 mm x 15.4 mm and weighs under 205 grams, making it genuinely portable.
One notable feature is the flexible SIM support. The M4D accepts Nano-SIM cards, eSIM profiles and Virtual SIM, allowing users to store multiple carrier profiles and switch between providers when travelling internationally. This flexibility could prove useful for frequent travellers, though the practical ease of switching will depend on carrier support in your destination countries.
The bundled docking station transforms the M4D into a compact fixed router with an RJ45 LAN port for wired devices. The dock supports switching between LAN and WAN modes via the device screen, adding versatility for users who want a single device for both portable and home use. The docking station measures 150 mm x 56 mm x 47 mm and weighs under 155 grams.
Security features include WPA2 and WPA3 encryption, firewall protection, SIM lock, screen PIN lock and VPN support. The device receives automatic over-the-air software updates.
Software and App Integration
All four products integrate with the Acer Connect smartphone app, providing a unified management interface for setup, device monitoring, guest network configuration and mesh node management. This consistency across the range should simplify the experience for users with multiple Acer networking products.
