Acer has introduced its latest Swift AI laptop portfolio at CES 2026, featuring a range of Copilot+ PCs running Windows 11 with Intel’s newest Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The lineup spans three distinct product families: the flagship Swift 16 AI, the ultralight Swift Edge AI series, and the value-focused Swift Go AI range, all designed to deliver on-device AI capabilities for creators and professionals.

Swift 16 AI: Flagship Performance with World’s Largest Haptic Touchpad

The Acer Swift 16 AI (SF16-71T) sits at the top of the new lineup, built around an aluminium chassis measuring just 14.9 mm thick. The laptop is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor paired with integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, positioning it as a capable machine for content creation and demanding workloads.

Perhaps the most notable feature is what Acer claims is the world’s largest haptic touchpad, measuring 175.5 mm by 109.7 mm with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The touchpad supports MPP 2.5 stylus input, allowing users to sketch and interact directly on the surface rather than requiring a separate graphics tablet. Acer has covered it with Corning Gorilla Glass for durability, and the haptic feedback mechanism means fewer moving parts compared to traditional mechanical touchpads.

Display and Audio

The 16-inch display uses OLED panel technology with 3K WQXGA+ resolution and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and covers 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, which should appeal to creative professionals who need accurate colour reproduction. The touch-enabled panel features edge-to-edge glass for a cleaner aesthetic.

Audio comes from dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra processing and anti-vibration technology. For video calls, there is an FHD infrared camera supporting Windows Hello facial recognition for secure login.

Connectivity

The Swift 16 AI includes a comprehensive selection of ports: dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C connections, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD card slot. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 or higher, ensuring compatibility with the latest networking standards.

Swift Edge AI: Sub-1 kg Weight with Military-Grade Durability

The Swift Edge series comprises two models, the Swift Edge 14 AI (SFE14-I51/T) and Swift Edge 16 AI (SFE16-I51/T), both targeting mobile professionals who prioritise portability above all else.

The 14-inch variant weighs under 1 kg and measures 13.95 mm thick, making it one of the lightest AI-capable laptops currently available. Both models use a stainless steel-magnesium alloy chassis that meets MIL-STD 810H military durability standards, suggesting they should handle the rigours of frequent travel reasonably well.

Processing Power and Memory

These machines run on Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processors with integrated Intel Graphics. Memory options extend to 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, while storage reaches up to 1 TB via PCIe 4.0 SSD. Acer emphasises multi-day battery life, though specific figures were not provided in the announcement.

Display Options

Both Swift Edge models offer up to 3K WQXGA+ OLED touch displays with 120 Hz refresh rates. The OLED panels should deliver the deep blacks and vibrant colours typical of the technology, suitable for both productivity work and media consumption.

Additional Features

Acer has included its multi-control touchpad on these models, designed for managing media playback, presentations, and video conferencing without reaching for the keyboard. The FHD infrared cameras include Human Presence Detection for automatic wake and lock functionality, while dual DTS:X Ultra speakers handle audio output.

The PurifiedVoice feature uses AI-based noise cancellation for clearer voice calls, which could prove useful in noisy environments like cafes or airports. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, USB Type-A, and HDMI 2.1.

Swift Go AI: Balancing Performance and Value

The Swift Go 14 AI (SFG14-I71/T) and Swift Go 16 AI (SFG16-I71/T) occupy the more accessible end of the Swift AI range whilst still offering premium specifications.

These laptops share the same Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics found in the flagship Swift 16 AI, along with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory and 1 TB of M.2 SSD storage. The aluminium chassis features a laser-etched finish and opens to a full 180 degrees, useful for collaborative work or unusual desk setups.

Display and Camera

Display options include both 2K WUXGA and 3K WQXGA+ OLED touch panels with wide colour gamut support. The Swift Go models feature upgraded 5-megapixel infrared cameras with High Dynamic Range capability and Human Presence Detection, representing a step up from the standard FHD cameras found on many laptops in this segment.

Audio and connectivity mirror the rest of the range, with dual DTS:X Ultra speakers, multi-control touchpads, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB Type-A, and HDMI 2.1.

AI Features and Windows 11 Integration

As Copilot+ PCs, all Swift AI models support Microsoft’s suite of AI features within Windows 11. The Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors include dedicated neural processing units designed to handle AI workloads locally rather than relying on cloud processing.

Key features include Click to Do, which enables context-aware actions based on on-screen content, whether text or images. Copilot Voice allows hands-free interaction through speech recognition, while Copilot Vision can provide contextual assistance by analysing active applications and screen content when enabled by the user.

Acer supplements these with its own AI tools, accessible through the Acer Intelligence Space hub. These include PurifiedVoice for noise cancellation, PurifiedView for camera enhancements, and User Sensing for presence detection. The programmable Acer My Key hotkey allows single-press launching of frequently used applications, websites, or Windows features.

Availability

Acer has confirmed regional availability for all models, though pricing was not disclosed in the announcement.

The Swift 16 AI will reach North America in Q1 2026, EMEA markets in March 2026, and Australia in Q1 2026.

Both Swift Edge models, the 14-inch and 16-inch variants, are scheduled for Q2 2026 across North America, EMEA, and Australia.

The Swift Go 14 AI arrives in North America in Q2 2026, EMEA in March 2026, and Australia in Q2 2026. The Swift Go 16 AI follows the same schedule for North America and EMEA, with Australian availability in late Q1 2026.
