Lots of rumours about Xiaomi phones have been circulating recently, with some confirmed.
Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing has confirmed that a Snapdragon 855 based Redmi phone is in the works, and some keen-eyed people have photoed what they believe to be the phone out in the wild.
Furthermore, a leaker has stated that the Redmi SD855 phone will be sporting a 6.39-inch display and feature 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. The phone will be featuring a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear shell of the phone will be fitted with a triple camera setup that will include a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary and the third lens of 13-megapixel.
Several photos of the claimed phone inicate that the front facing camera will be a pop up, allowing the display to remain completely notech-less.
It is also known that two Xiaomi devices are in the works, with codenames “Raphael” and “Davinci”. Both devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and have under-display fingerprint scanners.
It is likely that one of those devices will be the Pocophone / POCO F2, with the previous device being the most affordable Snapdragon 845 phone on the market.
It is speculated that the Redmi Snapdragon 855 smartphone may go official in May or June.
