After all the leaks most of the following should come as no surprise. Samsung have announced 2 variants of its flagship Galaxy S6. The normal model and the beautiful edge version, both are identical in specification the only difference is the edge has a curves screen that slopes off at the edges (hence the name).
Unfortunately the rumours were also true about the cost of these new aesthetics. Gone are the microSD slot and removable battery and there is no word on waterproofing. This will be a major blow to a lot of Samsung fans.
The internals are obviously top spec with a octocore processor pairing a quad 2.1GHz processor with a Quad 1.5Ghz one, 3GB of RAM, LTE, 16-megapixel rear shooter with optical image stabilization and an f/1.9 lens.
You will have a choice of 32, 64, or 128GB variants but there is no word on it being the new superfast memory Samsung is producing.
Both sport 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screens, with the Edge version obviously being curved.
Global launch on April 10th, no word on pricing just yet.
