While the Vivo Nex maybe the most exciting phone announcement recently, it is unlikely we will see it on our shores. However another Chinese megabrand, Oppo is launching their latest and greatest phone next week in Paris.
The Oppo Find X is set to be launched on the 19th of June at the Louvre in Paris and here is what we know about it already:
We will almost certainly see a 5x zoom on its dual camera as hinted at by Oppo themselves, they also claim fast charging that is capable of powering up a drained 2,500mAh battery in 15 minutes but no specifics on the total battery size.
There will be secure payment, 3D reconstruction, AR (augmented reality), and gaming.
With this being a flagship device it is almost guaranteed that it will come with a Snapdragon 845 along with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
Playfuldroid reported the Oppo Find X specs on the TENAA telecoms authority website which included a 2.8GHz octa-core processor — the same clock speed and core count as the SD845 — and 8GB of RAM. The report also claims the phone will have a 6.4-inch 2,340 x 1,080 AMOLED screen and a 3,645mAh battery.
The camera is reported to be a 16MP and 20MP rear camera combo and a 25MP front-facing shooter along with the aforementioned 5xzoom for the rear camera.
Some early leaked images suggest there will be no rear fingerprint sensor – so we will hopefully have an in-screen sensor or possibly an old-fashioned one on the bottom lip. Huawei has done a good job of minimising their scanners so it could end up being something like that.
Oppo phones have traditionally been the foundation of the superb OnePlus devices, so it is likely we will see specification and pricing similar to the OnePlus 6.
The size of their notch is still unknown.
