In a somewhat unexpected start to CES 2018, Nvidia has teamed up with Acer, ASUS and HP to launch massive 65-inch 4K 120Hz G-Sync HDR monitors.
Aptly named Big Format Gaming Display (BFGD) this behemoth display blurs the lines between monitor and TV. Its 65-inch 4K screen can run at 120Hz and uses G-Sync technology to offer butter smooth gaming.
The screen is fully compliant with HDR and offers full-array direct backlight delivering 1,000 nits of brightness and the DCI-P3 colour gamut for a top-tier HDR gaming experience.
The displays will come packed with Android Shield TV with Google Assistant and Nvidia GameStream support.
The first company to provide me with a press release is Acer, with their monitor using the Predator branding found on many of their gaming orientated systems. Acer sent over some screen renders of the monitor, so it is apparently not ready for prime time, however, thankfully, they have toned down the predator branding so it should fit nicely in a living room arrangement.
Unfortunately neither the Acer press release or the general news state on availability or pricing.
