Nokia has done exceptionally well over the past year, going from a dying company of yesteryear to selling 10 million phones last year placing them as the 3rd most popular phone brand in the UK.
2018 is looking promising to, with multiple new phones launching, all using Android One, or Android Go. The Nokia 8 Sirocco may look the prettiest, but it could be the Nokia 7 Plus that is the big seller this year.
The Nokia 7 Plus will arrive in stores from May 2, and those buying one will be treated to an exclusive Google Home Mini offer as part of the deal during the first month of availability via selected stores.
The new Nokia 7 Plus brings some big features at a relatively low price with the device including a 6-inch HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and massive 3,800 mAh battery for just £349.
You will also get 64GB of storage, microSD expansion, dual 12MP Carl Zeiss rear sensors, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
When I tried it out during MWC, the phone felt and looked great, and will no doubt do very well this year. I would say its biggest competitor is from Nokia themselves; the Nokia 8 is currently available for the same price of just £349. You get last years flagship SoC the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, however, the battery is smaller, and the screen is 5.3” with a 16:9 ratio and a smaller screen-to-body ratio of just 69%.
