Following weeks  of rumours this evening LG has finally announced the followup to the critically acclaimed LG G3, the G4.

The new LG G4 has a 5.5-inch QHD Quantum LCD, which  is the first on a smartphone, with the whole phone have a gentle curve. The rear of the phone is not plastic or metal like so many other phones but coated in vegetable tanned leather.

As for the internals, there is a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

There is also a  3000mAh battery, which is removable which is  quite a selling point for many people. There is also a slot for a microSD card.

The main talking point from LG was the 16MP camera with a bright f/1.8 aperture and second-generation optical image stabilization.

G4 owners will also get 100GB of free Google Drive space for two years.

While this is not a major upgrade, the removable battery and microSD will make this phone stand out from this generations crowd.
