We already knew a lot about the new Honor Note 10 thanks to various leaks. It has been 2 years since Honor released one of the Note series of smartphones and the new model has a massive 6.95-inch 18.5:9 full-screen display. In comparison, the popular Samsung Galaxy Note 8 uses a 6.3-inch display.

The phone shares many of the features of the smaller Honor 10, and has a  2.5D glass on the front and the back. The glass on the back has a special metal oxide nano-coating which makes it glitter under the light.

Its huge 6.95-inch 18.5:9 display does not include a notch though it does still have very slim bezels, albeit with a larger one on the top and bottom. The display runs at 1080 x 2220 pixels which is actually a touch less than the Honor 10. The AMOLED panel can achieve 600 nits brightness and 70,000:1 contrast ratio and can support HDR10.

Powering the device is the Hisilicon Kirin 970 SoC with 128 GB, 8 GB RAM or 64 GB, 6 GB RAM options. Honor has also included a special turbo button which cleans up background processes freeing resources for gaming, this will be used in conjunction with the GPU turbo recently announced too, making this a great choice for a gaming phone.

To help tame the heat produce from the GPU turbo, the phone includes a  “PC level liquid cooling system” called “THE NINE”, the tech involves using a liquid cooling tube similar to the MacBook Air and can enhance heat dissipation capacity by 41% and reduce the maximum CPU temperature by up to 10 degrees Celsius.

Just like the Honor 10, you get a dual camera on the rear with 16 MP f/1.8 and 24 MP B/W, f/1.8 the front camera is a 13 MP, f/2.0 lens.

Saving the best till last the phone comes with a gigantic 5000mAh battery which is probably the largest battery to feature on any phone from a major manufacturer. This should be a true multi-day phone. The company claims that you can play wilderness action for up to 4.5 hours and king of glory for up to 6.5 hours at a stretch with this large battery on board. Charging the large battery isn’t an issue since the phone supports 5V 4.5A super fast charging that’ll ensure that it gets topped up in around 2 hours!

The Honor Note 10 is priced as follows:

  • 6GB + 64GB Price: 2799 yuan ($410, £311),
  • 6GB + 128GB Price: 3199 yuan ($468. £355),
  • 8GB + 128GB Price: 3599 yuan ($527, £400).
