Immerse Yourself in Cinema Quality Viewing at Home
If you want a fully immersive home viewing experience then it’s time to invest in some high quality speakers, perhaps a Blu-Ray player and maybe even a 3D television. But there’s no need to break the bank on these purchases given the wealth of value-for-money tech equipment now available in stores and online.
Home cinemas have come a long way since their introduction back in the early 1980s when laser disc and VHS players fought it out to rule the roost in the home entertainment market. Our televisions have become larger, sleeker and smarter offering instant access to films with high definition picture quality. Hook up that 5.1 channel surround-sound audio system and you’ve got a home viewing system equal to that of the commercial theatre. The good news is that in this competitive marketplace the price you pay for a good quality system has dramatically decreased whereas your choice of equipment has increased.
Get the sound right
An all-in-one home cinema system won’t include the television but you will certainly provide you with the 5.1 channel, five speaker system designed to be placed at certain points throughout the room. You can go for 6.1 and 7.1 systems but most basic systems will be 5.1 meaning four or five speakers and a subwoofer. The powerful sounds and vibrations will transport you to the action of blockbusters, magic of musicals and dramas of TV series.
Choose your television
Of course the television is the most important aspect when it comes to viewing quality. Again, just like cinema systems, the price for quality televisions has plummeted; you can actually purchase an LED smart TV for only a few hundred pounds, sometimes less. The bigger the screen the higher the price you’ll pay and if you want 3D capabilities you will have to pay slightly more. A good-sized LED HDTV is essential but remember to consider the size of your living room – you don’t want to burn out your eyes with a 50” television in a compact-sized room.
Get online for more choice
Smart TVs are a must to take advantage of those online services such as on-demand films and web-browsing capabilities. If however, you have a games console such as an Xbox One you can hook this up to your television and enjoy Blu-Ray DVDS, stream films online via subscription services and download the latest games. You can go one further and add an Xbox One voice activated Kinect Sensor, which means you can simply tell your television to play the film of your choice.
If you’re going to invest in a completely new home entertainment system then compare prices and products online to obtain those low cost deals. The results will improve your home entertainment experience tenfold; all you need to do now is get the popcorn and cola.
