The Nexus 5 was a huge hit for Google, it was a high specced phone at an amazing price, so there has obviously been a great deal of interest in the new Nexus this year.
Rumours have been flying about regarding this 6 inch monster phone for a while and it appears a lot of them were accurate. Apart from the size the device is very similar to the 2014 version of the Moto X.
The Nexus 6 has a whopping 5.9-inch display making it even larger than the iPhone 6 plus, and it has a 1440×2560 resolution, resulting in an impressive 496 ppi pixel density.
It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor running at 2.7Ghz with 3GB of RAM and will be running the latest version of Android which will be 5.0 or its formal name Lollipop.
Just as the Moto X there is a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 2- megapixel on the front.
Storage will be 32GB or 64GB and there is no word on a MicroSD but it is unlikely.
There is a 3220 mAh batter which should provide 24 hours per charge, and more impressively the Motorola Turbo Charger will provide 6 hours of use from a 15 minute charge.
The phone is also water resistant, so it should be OK for the occasional splash but not as waterproof as Sony's phones.
Pre Orders should start on October 29th, no word on UK pricing but unfortunately it appears Google are not subsidising the phone and it cost $649 in the states, which is a typical high end phone price.
