In the past week, we have seen two big releases in the UK, with the hotly anticipated OnePlus 7 Pro and the new contender (for the UK) the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom.

Today we get one of the last flagship launches for the first half of the year with the Honor 20 Pro. Specs are not confirmed yet, in fact, Honor has kept leaks down compared to other companies recently, but we still know quite a bit about the phone.

So how do the three new phones compare? This is obviously based off leaks at the moment and I will update it following the launch.

Price

This is a big factor, OnePlus jacked up the price for the Pro model to £649, but it is still affordable compared to other premium flagship devices. OPPO are priced £50 more than OnePlus, so in the same ballpark.

I suspect Honor will do similar to OnePlus, last year there was no Pro model and that launched for £399. Hopefully, they will keep the price for the standard model, which will represent fantastic value for money. The Pro model will no doubt cost a fair bit more, and I am hoping they will come in under both the OP7 Pro and OPPO, I am thinking £599.

Specs

The Honor will definitely feature the Kirin 980, while the others have the Snapdragon 855, both are great chipsets and most people won’t notice the difference.

All the phones have the same base memory and RAM, they all launch with the latest Android.

It is believed the Honor will launch with 6.26 inches running at 1080 x 2340 pixels while the other two are over 6.6-inches and the OP7Pro has the highest resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels as well as a 90hz refresh rate, making it the best phone of the three for the screen.

The Honor will be launching with a punch hole display so there will be a small part of the screen blocked off, while the other two have pop up selfies and nothing interfering with the screen.

Cameras

It is the cameras that will play a big role in winning people over, there is currently a lot of hype for the Honor 20, with some fantastic sample shots already shown. OnePlus has improved their camera a lot but many people say it is not good enough for a phone at that price. Then the Reno has that 10x zoom which is the same as the P30 Pro.

Beyond that, they all have a 48MP primary lens, both the Honor and Oneplus has 16MP ultra wide and the Reno has 8MP.

Then the Honor and OP have 8MP 3x Zoom but the Reno has 13MP 5x zoom (which then uses hybrid for the 10x).

The Honor 20 Pro is expected to have a quad lens on the rear, and this will likely be a time of flight sensor as well, which will provide depth sensing which will improve portrait and bokeh effects.

The Honor may have the edge with the front facing camera, with 32MP while the OP and Reno have the same 16MP camera.

Battery

Battery performance plays an important factor with my phone choice, I would find it hard to ditch Huawei due to their exceptional batteries. The Honor falls a little behind with 3650 mAh while the OP7Pro has 4000 mAh and the OPPO Reno has 4065 mAh.
