After receiving huge praise last year for their OLED TV’s, LG are doubling down this year with the announcement of eight new 4K OLED TVs.
They come in multiple shapes and sizes, both flat and curved, ranging from 55-inch to 77-inch. The flagship models (G6 & E6) are extremely thin with a depth of a tenth of an inch behind the screen, translucent glass backs, barely-there bezels and forward-facing soundbar speakers.
It is not just the OLED tech that will be impressive, the 2016 TVs will all be ready to play HDR content (including HDR10 and DolbyVision) with more contrast and colours than ever before. LG expect to be one of the first sets to be certified under the new Ultra HD Premium spec.
Just like Smasung, LG have also improved the smart TV features. The webOS platform has been upgraded to 3.0, enabling easier access to internet video, and Mobile Connection that lets users toss apps up from their phone to the big screen, plus many more features.
