Security specialist Yale has launched its range of new IP Cameras, offering peace of mind by allowing you to view inside your home remotely from your smartphone or tablet.

According to a recent survey, when asked what security products Brits expect to see in a smart home, 58 per cent of respondents expected CCTV throughout their home, and 59 per cent wanted to control their home security from anywhere in the world using a mobile app.* Yale’s new Home View cameras allow you to do just that, enabling remote access to your home using the Yale Home View app on your smartphone or tablet.

The app works on both Android 4.4 and above, and iOS 9 and above operating systems. Additionally, the Yale Home View cameras can connect wirelessly to a Yale Hybrid DVR as part of your Smart Home CCTV System. This will allow you to record video from your Home View camera on to your Yale Hybrid DVR Hard Drive, and can be given as evidence to police in the unfortunate event of a break-in.

David Herbert, Business Development Director for Yale Smart Living, said: “At Yale we place convenience at the centre of our Smart Living range, and develop devices that make everyday life that little bit easier.

“After conducting research into the state of the UK smart security market, we found that more and more homeowners are now demanding remote access and control via a smartphone to view their property. As a result, we developed the new Home View camera range, which helps homeowners put family life first. The cameras offer a simple set-up and are controlled via the Yale Home View app, while still ensuring a superior standard of security.”

The range includes the Home View and the Home View Pan Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) Cameras. Both record in HD720 quality, with 8m enhanced night vision for clear images even in the lowest light conditions. Both cameras also have an optional motion detection feature that can alert you to movement in the home, as well as a two-way audio feature, enabling you to listen or talk back with a built-in microphone and speaker. The kits are easy to set up and ready to use in minutes using the quick start guide and there is has no monthly fee, as video is saved to an SD card or optionally backed up to Dropbox.

The new IP Camera range is available to buy from all major high-street retailers. For more information on the product, please visit www.yale.co.uk/smart-living or call 01902 364606.
